Background/Info: “Genocidio Espiritual” is the second official album by the Chilean project Distoxia. The album features 10 songs plus five remixes.

Content: From the very first notes and sequences you clearly recognize the influence of Mexican leading formations of Dark-Electro. I’m referring to Hocico and Amduscia. The work is characterized by hopping rhythms, haunting atmospheres, cold leads and Spanish vocals. The songs are pretty danceable although the last cut is more into an obscure, dreamy approach. Remixes have been accomplished by Empyres vs. Viscera Drip, Godless Cross, Sector 516, Shinigami IND and CyberLich.

+ + + : Chile already reveals a few interesting and qualitative Electro-underground bands. Among the darkest projects, Distoxia definitely sounds like a promising name. The new work sounds like a powerful exposure, which will definitely appeal for fans of Amduscia and Hocico. I like the switch from powerful cuts into dark-evasive passages. The ghost-like production of the vocals is matching with the sound. “Armadura De Clavos” and “Salvajismo Primordial” both are cool cuts, but I also recommend listening to the last song “Miles De Recuerdos”, which has a spooky, dreamy touch on top. Among the remixes I especially recommend “Contemplador Del Ocaso” remixed by Empyres vs. Viscera Drip. It’s also interesting discovering unknown artists who have been asked to remix.

– – – : Distoxia isn’t exactly what I would call an ‘original’ project although it’s an interesting album.

Conclusion: If you like Dark-Electro stereotypes, this album will definitely catch your attention.

The Chilean dark electro project Distoxia returns after 3 years with a new, 3rd full-length album “Genocidio Espiritual”.

To be released on March 15 via Insane Records (and available here), the album holds 10 original melodic dark electro tracks and 5 different remixes from colleagues such as Empyres & Viscera Drip, Godless Cross, Cyberlich, Sector 516 and Shinigami Ind.

Next to the download and streaming formats you also get a CD version limited to 100 hand numbered copies and released as a 6 panel digipak with slipcase (18 remaining at the time of posting, so be quick).

After three years of silence, the Chilean one-man project Distoxia releases the single “Conjurador Astral”. The release is a precursor to the second LP, “Genocidio Espiritual”, which will be released in March this year on CD and in digital format via Insane Records.

Expect melodic dark electro mixed with techno elements, all combined with distorted vocals and dark lyrics. You can already check the download of the single below.

Background/Info: The Italian gang Alien Vampires is back on track. They this year first launched their terrific side-project Speed Injektion and are now moving back to the Mother Ship. The Italian formation brings us four new songs plus five remixes.

Content: Alien Vampires remain harsh, a tiny brutal and always into provocation. The opening title-song takes off with a speed cadence and pumping beats. The vocals are switching from enraged parts towards a rather poppy style of singing during the chorus. We next get a song (cf. “Destrudo”) with guitar riffs and epic arrangements. “Darkweb” sounds hard and Electro-Industrial driven while “AV Forever E9” is a dark and wafting track.

We next get remixes of “World In Denial” and “Destrudo” by Chamaeleon, Viscera Drip, Distoxia, Reaxion Guerilla and Adeonesis.

+ + + : An EP with 4 different songs is an aspect I particularly appreciate and, which makes the difference with boring EP’s featuring a title song and an endless list of remixes. I can’t say that the title song is the best one as “Destrudo” and “Darkweb” both are great songs as well. Alien Vampires also took care to release songs, which are clearly different from each other. The common element remains the tormented sphere hanging over the compositions. I have a preference for the harder and Industrial-driven “Darkweb”. Among the remixes I’ll recommend the remix of the title track by Distoxia.

– – – : Alien Vampires is back on track and that’s a damn great thing, but even if this is a cool EP, it’s not the best work I’ve heard from those crazy Italian noise terrorists. The remixes are a bit disappointing although they’ve been made by great Dark-Electro acts.

Conclusion: Alien Vampires stand for harsh productions filled with rage, which is an appropriated sound for the title of this EP.

Best songs: “Darkweb”, “Destrudo”, “World In Denial”.

The harsh electro act Alien Vampires seized the opportunity of the COVID-19 pandemic confinement to spend more time recording and experimenting in their home-studio in Bricklane (London, UK) than being on the road and playing live shows. The duo of Nysrok Infernalien and Nightstalker have now released two coupled and fully complementary 9-track EP’s respectively titled “Destrudo” and “World In Denial”.

As an extra with the Bandcamp versions you also get a few band pics and… the uncensored super erotic frontcovers which were refused by the digital platforms and taken down by Facebook (that’s no surprise these days).

Each of the 2 EPs start with the tracks “Destrudo” and “World In Denial” followed by 7 more tracks each time.

On the “Destrudo” EP (available here on Bandcamp) the first tracks are followed by 2 additional exclusive songs: “10 Bags 10 Lines” and “London Paranormal”. (Photo by Ossi Viik) Out now is the newest, their third, full-length album by Finnish electro / industrial act Syncfactory: “Man”. The album is released via Insane Records who returns after a year of silence.

All songs on “Man” deal with different aspects of the human condition. The title track “Man” describes a relationship between two humans, while “Astronaut” describes the relation between a human and god. “Nihil”, “Under The Sun” and “Obey The Strain” scrutinize human existence on this ball while “Whispers” examines the unreliability of human communication. And so on.

Next to 11 original tracks the album also includes 2 remixes from projects such as Distoxia and Cyberlich.

Finnish EBM

Syncfactory was formed in late 2009 and self-released its first album in 2010: “Rhymes In Minor”. In 2014 Janne Vilen (known for his work with Finnish EBM band Oldschool Union) joined the band and became the main vocalist. By 2016 the band has signed with Insane Records and released the “Demon” EP and the “Panopticon” album.

In 2018 Janne left the band and Mika Mikkola replaced him as the main vocalist. 2018 also saw the release of the single “Talo” which acted as a teaser for their upcoming second full length album called “Meat Stall” released later that Summer.

Fresh news from the Insane Records headquarters. The Chilean one-man band Distoxia is about to release a new full-length called “Visiones De Medianoche”, that will be available in physical and digital format.

The album is expected to be released in early 2018 and will offer 13 tracks offering cocktail of vocal and instrumental works. In addition to the original tracks, “Visiones De Medianoche” includes 2 remixes by C-Lekktor and Freakangel, and collaboration with Reaxion Guerilla. The album is characterised by a distinctive sound wellknown as the ‘Latin America dark electro school’ with distorted vocals, rhythmic beats and melodic trance notes.

The CD release will be limited to just 150 copies (6 panel matte digipak with double-layer matte slipcase, pit art technology, hand-numbered), while digital copies will be available from the official label store and Bandcamp page, as well as from all major digital platforms.

The young label Insane Records has added a newcomer to its roster: the Chilean solo project Distoxia.

Distoxia was formed in Concepcion, Chile, in 2012. The band has a sound that is close to the Latin American Aggrotech music school with a mix of heavy, impulsive beats and distorted vocals.

The first release from Distoxia for Insane Records will be the “Maniobra Evasiva” EP to be released tomorrow. It holds 4 original tracks and 2 remixes by labelmates Syncfactory and Van Roy Asylum. The EP is a teaser for the band’s upcoming full-length album, which will be released on CD later this year.

The 20th track on our free download compilation “Face The Beat: Session 4” (featuring 92 tracks) is by the Chile based trance dark EBM act Distoxia.

“Encrucijada En El Cielo” is a perfect example of how this project mixes trance synthlayers with hard-hitting beats, and it caught our attention directly. The track we offer you here was composed, recorded and mixed by M.Postmortem A.K.A Distoxia in Chile in 2015. We hope to hear a lot more from this band in the very near future!
