The duo has also unveiled a music video dedicated to the Star Wars universe, featuring visuals and footage of Darth Vader to complement the release. This immersive video has to provide a cinematic backdrop that complements the dark, futuristic tones of the track.

The single “Dark Side” is now available on all major streaming platforms, and the music video can be viewed right below.

(Photo by @vv.photography95) The Ukrainian cyberdance act BlazerJacket have just released their latest single “DedSec”. The track pays homage to the renowned hacking collective from the popular video game
series “Watch Dogs”.

To accompany the release of “DedSec” BlazerJacket has unveiled an official music video that fuses in-game footage from Watch Dogs 2 with the artist’s signature style. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms and on Bandcamp as a pay-what-you-want download.

The visuals take fans on a journey through the digital world, where “DedSec”‘s hacker heroes challenge the status quo and wield a worldwide presence with millions of followers. Their mission: to expose corruption within the ordinary world, including the most formidable corporations.

The new single by BlazerJacket is now available, showcasing their unique brand of Ukrainian cyberpunk. Titled “Nuclear Dust,” the track incorporates a distinctive vocal sample from a renowned Russian television presenter and propagandist, whose voice resonates through the post-apocalyptic television landscape. Lines like “Russia… the only country in the world… turning into nuclear ashes…” add a contemporary storytelling element to the song.

BlazerJacket, a Ukrainian cyberpunk band, has recently launched a new mini-album, “Terrorstate”, that explores the theme of Russian aggression from a cyberpunk perspective. The album, comprised of 3 songs in the band’s distinct style, provides a potent commentary on the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. The new album is now available as a free download via Bandcamp and on all major streaming platforms.

The band has also established a charity fund called “МІЦЬ:UA” to support Ukrainian military personnel protecting the country from Russian aggression. They express the significant impact the war has had on their lives since 2014, and how nearly every Ukrainian now knows someone fighting on the frontlines. The band appeals for support from donors and media coverage to raise awareness and aid for their cause: “Since 2014, the war has had a profound impact on our lives, altering them significantly. Nowadays, nearly every Ukrainian knows someone, whether a friend or a relative, who is actively defending our country on the battlefield. As a result, we established the charity fund “МІЦЬ:UA” last year to support our military personnel, who are protecting us from Russian aggressors. Your support would be greatly appreciated, and most importantly, our military will also be grateful for your help.”

BlazerJacket makes a pointed statement about who they believe shares responsibility for the war, claiming that ordinary Russians are complicit in the invasion of Ukraine and the potential threat to the European Union. They call for the world to isolate Russia before the situation worsens further: “We must realize that we are not fighting against Putin alone. It was not Putin who dropped bombs on innocent civilians in Ukraine, nor was it Putin who assaulted women and children in front of men, only to kill them afterward. These actions were carried out by ordinary Russians. Reports suggest that approximately 80% of Russians supported the invasion of Ukraine, and over 80% of them condone and endorse a potential attack on European Union territory, as indicated by sociological surveys. These individuals are like relentless parasites, spreading destruction and chaos. It is time for the world to isolate Russia before its actions cause further harm and devastation to us all.”

Listeners are encouraged to interpret the album’s tracklist from a Ukrainian perspective, starting with the war’s origins in “Terrorstate”, moving on to its consequences in “They ruined my home again”, and finally, highlighting the Ukrainian people’s determination to defend their land and nation in “Freedom or death”.

You will know the band from it’s excellent track “Get Out” which they recorded as a feature with the Dirty Bird 13 project for our “Electronic Resistance” compilation which features darkwave / post​-​punk from the Ukrainian underground.

Here’s the storyline for the new single as explained by the band itself: “They left their planet one day because of an invasion. After years of searching for a new home, they found a planet with a suitable climate and friendly people, where they lived in harmony with the planet for the next years… Until the invaders reached this beautiful corner of the universe… This time they have nowhere to run.”

Needless to say there enough similarities with today’s Russian invasion in Ukraine and the battle to kick the invaders back out: “(It’s) just like the refugees from Donbas after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014, who have to run away from Russian missiles in 2022 again. This is their land, this is the last frontier, freedom or death!”

The Ukrainian dark electro act Blazerjacket has a new video out, “Get Out”m which handles a parasitic society. The video and and single featuring Dirty Bird 13 is out now.

“The song addresses the ease of being drawn into Stockholm Syndrome and the severity of the consequences, you have to get out of the abusive and parasitic society, by just noticing the first signals, you will feel better,” says the band.

Blazerjacket is a duo who have constantly been experimenting with their sound. You can expect danceable beats, a powerful bass, and hooky synths. With “Get Out”, the duo offers a mix of dark electro and EBM, this time together with Dirty Bird 13, another dark electro act from Ukraine.
