Genre/Influences:
Electro-pop,
wave-pop.

Format:
Digital,
CD.

Background/Info:
Amber
Teaser is an Italian formation that saw the light of day in 2017. “Human
Ritual” is the band’s debut album, which was released at the end of 2019. The
band claims to be influenced by Kraftwerk and Franz Shubert.

Content:
Amber
Teaser is mixing good-old elements of electro-pop music with astral sound
treatments and guitar playing. The melodies can be pretty icy-sounding while
the guitar injects a new-wave touch to the work. Both opening songs are
absolutely worthy of examination. The vocals are half spoken half sung.

+
+ + : The debut part of this work is simply outstanding. “Dioxine” and “Go Out
From this Chaos” both are accomplished and sophisticated songs with a great
progression in the structure. There’s a perfect balance between electronics and
guitar. It all feels like a subtle sonic bridge between 80s and contemporary
influences. But Amber Teaser clearly brings a very personal touch to their
work. I however like the retro elements and especially the dry snare drums and
some cold synth leads.

– –
– : The best songs from the album are right in the beginning so the
tracklist unfortunately doesn’t evolve to a crescendo.

Conclusion:
This
is a real exciting new comer, which reveals an open-minded electro/wave-pop
style.

Best
songs: “Go Out From This Chaos”, “Dioxine”, “Human Ritual”, “Dancing In A
Restaurant – Hal-O-Ween Mix”.

Rate:
(8).
