The 9th track on our free download compilation “Face The Beat: Session 4” (featuring 92 tracks) is by the Italian act Bukser. After the dark electro assaults, this act brings the IDM into the compilation with an outstanding track (“Replicant”) reminding of the best from Mnemonic and related great bands.

Bukser is the more upbeat and “catchy” project of Sergio Calzoni, an Italian producer and musician active since the nineties in various music endeavors (Alma Mater, Act Noir, Colloquio, Orghanon). His previous projects were always a delight to discover and so is the case with this one.

The aim of this project is to explore uncommon music territories, where elements of synth-pop, IDM, dub and glitch sounds blend together. Through this project Sergio Calzoni also released several tunes for television and video synchronizations. You can find some more of his work on his Soundcloud page.

The “Monosynth” compilation offering a selection of analog minimal electro was the very first, now legendary, release on Fabrika in 2011 and it sold out almost immediately. The second part is now ready for ordering (out by mid-March) and again presents you unreleased tracks from an international spectrum of artists, among them some Fabrika signees like She Past Away and Selofan who are joining forces for the first time exclusively for this compilation.

The other artists included are the new Icelandic act Kaelan Mikla, the Mexican cold wave act Rise 1945, the Hungarian minimal electronics of Cipolla Variete, the Greek act Impersonate or Die, the Ukrainian post-punk combo Cold Comfort, the French raw electronic act Noir Boy George, the English Qual (which is actually a Lebanon Hanover sideproject), the new joint-project of Argentinian Volkova with the Croatian artist Lana Popsimonova aka Diktatur, and finally the minimalistic Miami based Nina Belief. 11 tracks in total. Track 7 on our free download compilation “Face The Beat: Session 3” is by the Italian project Bukser. “No Dreams Land” is an upbeat track mixing both modern beats with wave guitars and beeps and bleeps. The track convinced us on the spot as it has lots of potential (imagine some strong male vocals on this track). Also, we have been aware of Calzoni’s other excellent project Act Noir for quite some time, which convinced us even more that this track deserved to be on our compilation.
