American industrial project :10:, the audiovisual work of Michigan artist Sean Forsythe, released the album “Failed in Life” on 14 July 2026 through CRL Studios. The seven-track release marks the first dedicated :10: album since the “Venom” single in June 2025.

“Failed in Life” mixes gritty industrial and abrasive electronic textures across seven tracks: “This Offering,” “Withering Away,” “Fog Covered Fields,” “FSM,” “Man Is Evil,” “Let It Bleed” and “This Worm That Hides.” “Let It Bleed” features vocalist Kamakiras, while closing track “This Worm That Hides” features Barcoder, a regular project collaborator and CRL Studios labelmate.

The collaboration follows up on Forsythe and Barcoder’s joint album “Discontent,” released in November 2025. Sean Forsythe mixed “Failed in Life” himself, with mastering by Etienne Grunenwald-Rohr. The album is available now as a name-your-price digital release on Bandcamp.

Failed in Life by :10:

As with previous releases, the album is supplemented by Forsythe’s own photographic compositions. Forsythe has also released two accompanying music videos for tracks from the album, “Withering Away” and “Let It Bleed,” issued in January and March 2026 respectively; both carry a mature-content notice from the artist.

About :10:

:10: is the solo audiovisual project of Sean Forsythe, based in Shelby Township, Michigan, combining industrial and noise-leaning electronic production with his own photography. Forsythe’s back catalogue under the :10: name includes the releases “Photic” (2015), “Eros” (2017), the “Industrial Is Dead” EP, “Why We Hurt” (2022) and “Filth in Me” (2024), issued through CRL Studios.

He has worked repeatedly with fellow CRL Studios artist Barcoder, most recently on the joint album “Discontent” in November 2025, before the pair reunited on “Failed in Life” via the closing track “This Worm That Hides.” “Failed in Life,” out now via CRL Studios, is the project’s first standalone album since “Discontent.”

Genre/Influences: Industrial-Ambient, Industrial-Trip-Hop.

Format: Digital.

Background/Info: :10″ is a project hailing from Michigan (USA) which has already released several works since 2020. “Filth In Me” was already released one year ago now and features six tracks.

Content: The composition sounds as a sonic hybrid between Ambient-Electro and Industrial sound treatments. The tracks are driven by a slow cadence while the last track features female vocals.

+ + + : :10: is an interesting project for the way all influences have been merged together. The last cut featuring female vocals -which has been also experienced at some previous productions, inject a little extra. I also want to mention the cool artwork of the front cover.

– – – : This is not the best work from :10: although worth listening to.

Conclusion: A creative project trying to bring something different.

Best songs: “Watch Her Fall”, “Open The Mirror”.

Rate: 7.
