    @anaesthetics,

    Darn, knew i was forgetting something. I guess i'd have to put BJF in with Embryodead, although the 2 albums are completely different. I guess i'd think of them more as transition albums.

    But I think BT7 + DBoG certainly go together. And WoB, Bonepeeler, Evoke seems to fit together.

    @Seraphin,

    Jealous! Where do you live? Hmm, maybe Rudy got em out early this year. You'll have to give us a review when you get a chance.

    I don't suppose you also ordered MFAST 3-disc version...

  6. I actually had only ordered the jacket since it was costing way too much for it from Germany and was cheaper to go through Isotank. But much to their surprise, they got in the Box Sets they had on order with the jacket so I picked one up. They did not get the MFAST 3xCD for whatever reason. I will end up picking one up and just selling off one of my other versions of MFAST. I will finally give the album a listen today here at work but I already liked the snippits I heard online.

    Mega post your review! I'm wondering about buying it but I've already bought my industrial qouta this month, so I'm wondering to splash out or wait till a dry spell.

  8. Well theres no doubting I’d enjoy the new Wumpscut. I do like it. It is kind of all over the place in terms of its sound. Sometimes it reminds me of Evoke. Some of the songs were surprising: Jiddisch Is a Zwillink. I don’t have a fucking clue what that means but the song is in English and it’s a great/unique song for him. It reminds me of Laibach at times, but then he has these trumpets come in a la old Death In June style and sampled opera voices. Very cool track.

    Wumpelstilz..is that even a German word? What the hell does that mean? Lol Some of the song titles I guess Im just not grasping since I don’t speak or read a hint of German. But that’s almost like the Wumptruck. Luke Skywalker was attacked by a WUMPA. Im not going to Google Wumpelstilz but its kind of a silly song: IM THE WUMPEL! he says at one point lol.

    Zombibikini might be a silly title, but I really like that song. Very catchy beats/keys in it. Unfortunately, for me at least, this is one of the songs sung in German. So Ive no clue what hes talking about: undead at the pool/beach? Who knows..

    Alles Aus – a typical good Wumpscut instrumental track. The stand out track for me is probably Muselmann. Rudolf Wolzek and Schrekk & Grauss are close behind for me.

    Overall Im more pleased with this album then the last two I think. So yeah haters, suck mine.

    Each of the albums from the past 5+ years has tracks that are memorable, but as whole albums they seem erratic and you can't help but get the "phoned in" feeling on a handful of them. Though I think Siamese is pretty solid, I enjoyed it much more than the previous 3 or so; the title track is fantastically dark and melodic, and there's at least 3-4 others on there I really enjoy. Nonetheless it does seem like Rudy is just "going to work" each time, and sometimes he writes a great tune (like Siamese) and sometimes he just runs through the motions.

    The yearly schedule wouldn't have to be a problem -- SP proved that can be done for years and be amazing the whole way through, as Sheva pointed out much earlier in this thread. The issue is inspiration, I'd say; having enough of it to actually fuel a yearly album. I'd say that gets him through 3-4 songs, and the rest are paycheck tunes to fill it out.

    I got the album as well. I already though he was getting better the last two or three albums, and this one is actually good. There are a few good catchy songs on it, and it has for a part the vibe of 90's Zoth Ommog EBM releases. I think this album is on par with Wreath of barbes again (Which is imho the last memorable release of :W:) so i recommend to get it.

    My order came! First impressions: not as good as 'Fuckit', probably at least on par with 'Siamese'.. that's it so far. haven't had a chance to completely absorb.

    I've been pretty fascinated with the 'MFAST' reissue though. Lot of interesting demos, instrumentals, etc. If you love the album I would recommend picking up. Also, I think Rudy must've done a fair amount of (tasteful) fixes on the main album resample. Particularly the last half of the album seems to have a lot more dynamics and it's really sounding quite a lot better. At least that's first impression, will need to do more listens. Anyway one else have 'MFAST'? Plz listen to the main album and tell me if it sounds different than previous versions.

    yes Fuckit was better, but this one is decent enough. but i think ive already listened to it enough times that it can go into the cd collection with the others as i move on to something new

  16. Title track: good! The annoying-high-pitched-synth-line-following-along-to-the-chorus-vocals trick he uses on every single fucking song actually works this time. The rest of it I haven't been able to bring myself to listen to beyond skipping through a handful of tracks. Do I really care? Why do I do this to myself? Is it just because MFAST and Dried Blood of Gomorrah were so awesome (at the time, even though I haven't listened to them in a really long time)? Can't Rudy afford more synth voices? I'll make some up for him!

    Anyway, TO THE TOP, OLD THREAD!

    your friend adam k.
