Why can I not change my screenname?

    You cannot change your screenname because the past has learned us that some were really abusing this option. So, keep it simple, choose your username once and stick to it.

    Very few boards I've come across actually lets you change your screen name without some kind of moderation or administration to go through.

    I ran a forum once and people had to go through me if they wanted their screen name changed. That way I had full control over it. But I guess this is a much simpler solution.

    I simply have no time for people that want to change their screen names. This new forum is installed this way that I have less work with it. We are working on other new things for side-line that demand time, energy and money.

    Yeah, and besides, a screen name is not that important. When you've chosen one it shouldn't have to be changed.

    I understand the ease and simplicity of a unchangeable screen name, but being able to change it made it possible for you to display a changing attitude (such as Electric Blue Ocean's) and it was a lot more fun seeing what people could come up with.

    Also, why can't I put exclamation marks in my screen name?

    seriously, we are working on various extras for the addicted on here. One of those extras will please you for sure. More when they get officially launched.

    I abused the screenname thing, but I don't see why it's bad you can change it. In the old forum. everyone knew it was me anyway, so I don't think it made a difference.
