I haven't heard the tape, but noticed it in a review here: http://www.plaguehaus.com/home/2010/12/02/bereft-chlanna-nan-con-thigibh-asos-gheibh-sibh-feoil/
I never knew much about Bereft, but still kind of surprising.
Electro, gothic, noise, darkwave from the Side-Line

covering a skrewdriver song may be all you need to know.
They did a cover...so? Means a lot. Not really. Seriously though. Any band that covers a White Nationalist band is also a bunch of White Nationalists? By that logic any band that covers a band with a gay guy in it must be a bunch of gays themselves right?
DID ANYBODY SAY GAY??? :D
did they cover screwdriver's "nigger I hate your face?"
because that's probably their best song! such a talented band of songwriters
"Jimi Hendrix was a nigger.
Jesus Christ and Grandma, too.
Jackson Pollock was a nigger.
Nigger, nigger, nigger, nigger,
nigger, nigger, nigger."

If the band was singing a cover with material about how they like to have sex with people of the same gender, its not necessarily going to make them gay, but the chances do seem to be significantly improved.
I guess covering Skrewdriver doesn't by definition make them white nationalists, it does automatically make them at the very least douchebags.
COvering skrewdriver doesn't make you a Nazi... But it's sure a BIG sign to all white nationalists saying "hey, you gotta listen to my band". And who would want that kind of audience ????
I guess in the end it depends on what song they covered. Do you know which one? Not that it makes a HUGE difference; most of their songs are about the same thing, lol.
I guess it also depends on the spirit they covered it in. SM has a song called "Auschwitz" which is NOT anti-semitic but could be perceived that way, I guess, if someone wanted to hear it like that.
The song itself "I Don't Like You" was off Skrewdriver's "All Skrewed Up" LP which was recorded and released back when they had no political leanings, and were just a "street rock and roll" band. The song is about not liking one's job and boss and has zero political and/or racial meaning.
Kind of like covering something by Ministry off of "With Sympathy" doesn't mean you are covering a "Metal" band.
It wasn't until their 3rd release I believe that Skrewdriver engulfed themselves in douchebaggery and ignorance.
Why not just email Bereft and ask them why they chose to do a cover of it.
@Terrorfakt
When are we the fans gonna get to hear the Terrorfakt tribute to Boytronic?
Next week.... I have guest vocals by Raekwon's long lost honkey twin,...Salvatore Patrone.
@Terrorfakt
Oh shit! I love Sal petrone
@ Sal - What's up wit Deez nutz coverin your chin?
@Terrofakt
you keep your damn dirty deez nuts away from my chin you bastard
What's up with Cesium 137 doing a Lady Gaga inspired remix of the Magic Garden theme song?
I had to google Magic Garden. Was that a NY only kids show?
I think Cesium should rmx The Great Space Coaster theme song
I don't see that Cesium cover happening.
They are, however, currently working on a new version of the Small Wonder theme. Isaac still has a massive crush on the robot chick.
Sooo, By your definition of a doushbag, All the bands that did songs on the Deathkey, in the key of death album are nazi's right?
if anyone has a actualy question, feel free to email me.
When we cover muslimgauze on the next album, will there be the same stupid question, or will it be ok? I'm just checking as it is planned, and I would hate to be labeled as an antisemite as well.
Also , thanks for the free press. If all it takes is to cover a non racist song by a band, who at the time had no polotical leanings at all, then ill be sure to do more songs off the early albums.
