Lycia has always been underestimated imo
As for me I'm a huge fan of White Lies and Shiny Toy Guns too.
I love almost everything that envolves Mike Patton. From Faith No More to Mr. Bungle. His first solo album is amazing. I like Napalm Death very much too.

@ Daniel - "I've never heard a cool polka tune"
Weird Al Yankovic - this man is a genius
@Djtek - shiny toy guns cover of Major Tom is fantastic (dare I say I like it more then the original well the original before it was reworked or whatever, not the david bowie one the other one)
I also thought there were no cool polka tunes, until i found this!

Curve, Dandy Warhols, Spiritualized...
That post-rock/shoegaze thing and IDM.
btw:
Having a favorite style doesn't mean you're ignoring all the other stuff...it's just that you like this one best.
So, of course there are good songs in nearly every kind of genre...even Hip Hop... ;)

Yes, STG's version of Major Tom is nice, and I'm a huge fan of their 2nd album Season Of Poison. It took time to grow on me, but it's an awesome piece of music right there.
Also White Lies, who knew I'd like a band like that one day ??? but their lyrics and melodies are just fantastic. Can't stop listening to them.
