    Always Confused

Me: Lots of good music recommendation, and even a couple of online friends.

What were your best music discoveries on here?

    Black Sun Empire for me.
    Also, Neubauten (I think?)
Can't even remember what else. but pretty much all the industrial music I know except german industrial metal, which I came from.

Thanks to you all for your help in getting fantastic music, and I hope I showed some people a few things they liked in return. You are all pretty awesome. Even bubba.

    Hmm...probably LOLs.

Even though SL was somewhat helpful to me in discovering new music, I'll always remember this forum for the anarchy, drama and LOLs of the old days.

I actually never got to properly thank the peeps who contributed to this thread:

    http://www.side-line.com/side-line-forum/topic/more-music-like-this-please-1

Thanks to them I was exposed to really great music such as Jon Hopkins, CBL, Aes Dana, Bola and many others that I listen to on a regular basis now.

    So...THANK YOU!

Also, the Tech forum was the most resourceful, friendly and helpful forum to me when I was taking my first steps into music production. Way more useful than those fags at VSE and Gear Slutz. Specially with great contributions by Soillodge, Metaball, Rogue Process, Hollowman, dogmeat, Tsarik and even YADE! :D

I hope these members and the spirit of comradery migrate someplace else such as Metropolis' Tech forum.

<3 This is where I first met and found out how fucking hillarious Sumez, The Black Oil, and Gigatronik are <3

I've also found some pretty cool new music on here.

  6. Well, I virtually talked/met some nice people, got some nice music recommandations, but I think I registered a bit too late and missed the glorious years.

  7. Well, this forum got me some inspirations in trying out some stuff I was not aware of before plus I met some nice people that really work with passion for their goals.

The forum had its great times. Thanks for that, guys!

    1. Music recommendations.

    2. Great discussions with people who enjoy the same music as I did.

    3. Fantastic homegrown memes!

    4. Festival or tour announcments that I would've otherwise missed.

    5. Real life meetings with side-liners! (And blooser/bloosqr and I are starting to hang out!)

Bonus: 6. Unexpected interactions with people whose music I like. Makes me feel less stalker-ish. Easier to feel like I'm not overstepping boundaries here :)

I don't go out clubbing. So this has been a valuable resource to me.
And a great time waster when I was a WoW widow.

The old forum was really cool. So many trolls, so many idiotic pictures, so much fun. There was talk about music as well, and I discovered lots of great stuff.

This new forum is (was?) less cool. Without stupid pictures it was just not the same.. instead of chaos we got bots selling shoes. On the other hand that made it possible for me to access the forum from work, so it wasn't that bad. Music wise this forum is still a good place to discover stuff, so thank you all for that.

All in all this forum is/was a great way to waste time.

As for the facebook stuff.. nah, I don't think that will work for me.
