It's out!
I've been using it this morning and it's GREAT!
So many cool new sounds you can make with the arp to matrix feature.

Woooo! Thanks for the heads-up! I knew it was coming soon but didn't know it was out already. *heading to access-music.de now*

I'll be loading that onto my Polar as soon as it arrives>)

The comb filter is just ridiculous. Lots of noisy shit under the hood with that feature alone. I uploaded a session with it (about 6 minutes) to my podcast tonight:

Made my Windows 7 crash to blue screen with the 64 bit patch... I downloaded the 32 bit patch and it says its 64 bit as well... Strange...

I was a little disappointed with the new distortion models and the speaker cabinet sim but the new arp features are great. Lots of bleeps and bloops. :)

Really, I was thinking about picking u pa TI, but i bet I would still like my virus A more. So much more raw sounding.

I'm really just experimenting with different things but limiting my sonic pallet to just the future retro XS and Eventide Eclipse.
all comments are encouraged. i'm not trying to get paid or played. this is fun for me buying research paper but i do wish to continually improve. so tell me what you like, what you don't, you don't even have to explain why but it makes it more interesting if you do.
so here's the newest thing i just did.
probably took about 5 hours. way more time intensive than i thought.Posted 1 year ago # -
@ Fullbottle Erm what?!

ignore it. Its an ad bot.

Pretty advanced ad-bot! It still makes no sense, but I'm impressed at the phrases it picked up. It sounds like the bot ganked Tsarik's studio!

Since I just received my TI polar today, how is the new OS? worth installing? This one's currently running 3.3.
Posted 1 year ago # -
It arrived! That's fantastic!
Definitely update the OS to 4, M4RC. I really like the new features including the distortion units.Posted 1 year ago # -
Yeah it did, only took 6 weeks to get here. I'll update to it later. I have a lot of knobn tweaking and installation stuff to get done tonight>)
Posted 1 year ago # -
Bah it takes like 10 minutes to update the OS hehe..
Anyway - happy tweaking!Posted 1 year ago # -
BTW: Virus related question - the seller didn't give me the original installation C as they've lost it. From what I understand you cannot download this directly until you have registered it with Access - is this correct?
Or if anyone happens to have the TI plugin installer and wouldn't mind sending it to me that'd be ace!

It's no big deal to register with Access to get the updates, you just need the serial number on the synth itself iirc.
Anyway if you need, I have every update from 3.0.5 - 4.0.0.18 for Mac. I deleted the other versions because they're pretty much redundant and would be a huge step backwards. If you need 'em, my email's digitalgeist242 @ gmail.comPosted 1 year ago # -
M4RC you dont need the CD. Just go online, register it and download the update, plugin and all the patch packs. If it was used you should still be able to contact them and work it out. They are very responsive to emails, like within minutes.

Thanks for the advice, Access allowed me in last night to download everything. Already updated to OS 4 as well.
I've notice that the over all volume level is quite low. I had to crank the level to +4DB to get it to even redline. Is this normal?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yes it's normal. It has to do with the multi feature - Access wanted the user to be able to play 16 parts without the instrument clipping so there's more headroom. I haven't had a problem just boosting the gain - a little annoying though as I rarely play more than one part at a time while recording.
It's a little shortsighted of them to allow 16 parts as well considering all the cool new patches and whatnot eat up the processor. So playing more than 3-4 tracks at the same time will result in dropouts anyway.
