  5. Wait, how can this be out in the 26th month when there are only 12 months in a year?

By "great review" I more meant the journalistic quality of it. Extremely well-written, and I wish there were more thought-out reviews written like this fellow did.

  9. @Erica: I will give you a detailled review after really listening to it for serveral times, do not worry :-)

OK nothing detailed yet but this album seems to have taken the best of unter null and stray mixed it together in a blender and added something new on top of it plus the vocals seem cleaner on here then stray as well.

I am glad I went with the 3 cd box set - shame there is only the one booklet lyrics for the second cd don't appear to be anywhere.

Also, I liked the cd case design for the all remixes cd - the way it holds the cd in its pretty nifty

Only listened to 2 cds so far on the third currently

Moving On, Godless, Broken Heart Cliche, The Fall and the hard trance mix of I can't be the one are current favorites.

Only complaint is the 2nd cd sounds like it was mixed lower as the vocals (when they are there) seem drowned out

I only heard the single album version, not the trilogy, but overall, the songwriting and noisemaking is a great mesh. I'm very excited to conjure up some backing videos to add to the live performances of these songs. Viva la 2010 tour!

    @ Remote

I might add that there's a remix of "Moving On" (not part 2) that has some guitar in it. I remember an early (pre-fire) version that had an electric guitar track on it, and the guitar track on that remix sounds very much like the one I remember, only it was on the mellow version on the main album, which it is absent from now.

    @ Sumez

Can't tell if that's humour or not, but in case it's not, here's the explanation:
In many parts of the world, on the standard XX/YY/20ZZ format, the XX stands for days, not months.

    @ Erica

I loved the Failure Epiphany, but for as much as I love it, I must say that your musical talent has been improving, rather than stagnating. I have played it for friends of mine, several of whom are awaiting news of your tour stops and dates. Needless to say, it looks like I'll be bringing friends again. Again, many thanks. Your music continues to captivate my imagination and let my creativity flow unhindered by the distractions and chaos that surround me (not that chaos isn't fun), allowing me to continue trudging onward with some projects that I wish to be able to share with others in the coming years.

Please, continue Moving On... I look forward to hearing what comes next.

Oh, right, I see how she posted it here. So used to explaining that dates are reversed in Europe to Americans, that I feel rather sheepish right now. Right, strike that, reverse it. :P

  15. Nah, it's Americans that are reversed. There's no logic in placing days between months and years. :)

The best solution is of course this format: 2010/02/26 - there's no mistaking what is what, and it sorts properly automatically. :)

    ps. this is very important

Thanks for the nice words on the album guys!!!

In regards to the European calendar format vs. American - I still prefer the Euro ways of things. Makes more sense.

Couldn't wait for the limited ed to come in the mail, so I got it from Emusic as well. It's rare that I buy the same album twice (digital and physical), I usually only do this for VNV Nation, but I am not disappointed I got it.

I can't write an awesome review in the short time span I have between clients, but suffice to say it's a strong contender for the album of the year title.

    Also..

The UNTER NULL + CYANOTIC 2010 "detox" tour is coming together well.

    7/15 Austin, TX
    7/15 Houston, TX
    7/29 Pittsburg, PA

Pretty good - I still prefer The Failure Epiphany, but this doesn't come far behind.

One thing that annoys me is that the reverb on the vocals is too much sometimes,
on some of the tracks I need to concentrate to actually hear the vocals through the athmosphere...

Same goes for Let Me Go (on the Stray myspace)

  20. gratz on the new album Erica.

its always nice to see hard work and dedication pay off... or at least pay off as much can be expected in our scene
