    my favorite HUMAN LEAGUE tracks remains "Seconds" (8th track off their 1981 release DARE) & while I am open to a remix .... I'm curious to see what bands today would do in covering this song (stick to the original, or reinterpret?) ....

  6. It's gone unnoticed but the Dare albums 30th anniversary was yesterday and www.the-black-hit-of-space.dk celebrated it in several ways.

    First of all the Exclusive Interviews section brings "The Dare Special (In loving memory of Martin Rushent)".

    And I've resurrected the Dare Fan Mix Project 2007 as all mixes are now online again. Check it out;

    panzer, great site! I also think Seconds is one of the Human League's best tracks. The sound is so powerful and so electronic at the same time it still amazes me. I don't know how they manage to make the cold and brutal electronic rhythm in this song.

    Yes, Credo is quite good. I see traces of "old" Human League but I wish they could be brave enough to do what John Foxx is doing now. What I mean is that the HL don't need any "trendy" producers to spice their sound, they need to do what they do best, black hits from space. I think this wouldn't be so easy for a band that has sold more than 10 million records of one album.

  15. It's the final mix of the celebrations as the fact that Don't You Want Me stayed at the No 1 spot in the UK Charts over the new year back in 1981/82 deserves a special mention with a cool new take on the classic.

    Are there any lost albums on the vault? I am sure HL have some interesting things lurking in their studio. Panzermensch could you ask the band? I am sure you will get some cool information.

  20. It's a tripple whammy of brilliant new fan remixes as no less than 3 different mixes of latest single Sky is presented with a fitting production tribute to the late Martin Rushent creating memories of both Dare and Love And Dancing. Not to be missed!

    silikonanswer, Yes, that would be cool, but I think it's highly unlikely they will dig into their vault to release unknown stuff.
