Nuh. not even. Just rock and other electronic stuff mainly.

    lately:

lorn, the kills, grinderman, swans (I guess thats indust), emika, russian circles, phantogram (thanks to mecha) Aux raus, Assemblage 23....well...it;s pretty much trance.

  6. Well, I always loved a lot of stuff more than "industrial". No dubstep involved.

Okay, I guess I mean EBM, old school industrial, and Dark Elektro.

of course, I'm generalising. Just a bit...I duno. there is a lot of interesting music lately, and not much of it is indust.

I just found out I like futurepop now. a23 especially. so at lest there is that.

edit: I'm behind on new good indust but actually...behind on life.

    but honestly....

pure good music. without horrible lyrics. no lyrics actually. lol.
actually so many industrial lyrics are shit lately.
probably aesthetic perfection is the only decent lyricist I have heard lately in the scene.

The rest of it is worse than pop music. do they even need lyrics?

remember out out's assumed outrivaling? that was an awesome release, and had no shitty lyrics about the feeling in your veins raging

The line between "industrial music" and "other music" has gotten so thin, how are you even supposed to know any more?

Nothing wrong with liking Grinderman or Russian Circles.

A steady diet of industrial leads to burnout. (Especially the modern club stuff) It is good to mix it up with other stuff sometimes. Keeps it fresh.

  10. Grinderman, absolutely.

The new "industrial club stuff" is boring. Minimal Synth, drag, etc. Sound more industrial than the current industrial dance stuff.

Exactly my point. If you prefer minimal synth to EBM club music, does that mean you like other music more than industrial now?

  13. I have found that it comes and goes. Just when I think maybe I like another style more, I get a deep desire to put on EBM again. Nader's comp has really brought me back to electro again. In time, I will probably fade out again...and then back in...

as always, i don't think the endless maze of subgenrefication is doing us any favours when it comes to finding good music. most of the bands i loved that came out of the whole tekno-industrial thing have stagnated & their clones are uninspired. musically i'm getting more out of "shoegazey" stuff & "stoner rock" like Mogwai & The Sword at the moment.

You listen to industrial and don't understand black humor? Lol.
