The best bands/shows you seen and what you want to see live

(23 posts)

  1. So lets here it. What are some of the best shows you've seen/bands playing live, and, who would you really love to see live? Obviously dead people (ie. Joy Division) arent going to work here.

I think some of the best shows Ive seen where:

Skinny Puppy - Vivisect and TDP tours
    Diary of Dreams NYC show
the first Alien Sex Fiend show up at the Limelight in NYC
Front 242 - Tragedy tour (Talk about a band getting into their show, they h ad more energy then I can comprehend)

Id love to see Suicide Commando live (The videos from SC at Castle Party and stuff look awesome), Interlace, and The Retrosic would be the main ones.

Disappointingwise: Numb and Nitzer Ebb both were blah when I seen them live :/

I always love a good VNV Nation show and I usually have fun at Combichrist.

Mind.In.A.Box was a magic moment and so were bands like Headscan and This Morn Omina.

    2 shows I really enjoyed:
5F-55 on Forms of Hands with complete destruction of their gear, indoor fireworks and audience entered the stage after the show to pick parts of their gear to have a souvenir of this show,
and Babyland in Gelsenkirchen, Kaue...just because it was fun fun fun.

one of my all-time favorite experiences was Underworld at Central Park in NYC, 2007

It was the combo of Karl Hyde's terrific showmanship and swagger, the beautiful weather that evening, the atmosphere of Central Park, and the crowd's palpable energy. Walking around New York and grabbing great southeast Asian food after the show didn't hurt either.

Would love to see: Kraftwerk, This Morn Omina, Architect

Agree w/Seraphin on the Suicide Commando Castle videos. Not a big fan, but those concert snippets look fantastic and make me want to go.

@Black Oil: Rick Springfield, eh? ;) Did you see him on Californication? "You have to out-fuck Rick Springfield."
