    Plane tickets bought and hostel booked! So far we are 5 or 6 people going together from Denmark together, as well as 7 others travelling by themselves. We got a Danish band playing as well, so prepare for the Danish invasion! :)

    I still have no idea how much the festival ticket is. Does this festival get sold out? I don't really want to buy in advance. If anyone's able to get a guest list spot, please contact me! :D

    I remember that friends of mine bought tickets a few years ago without any problem. There was a ticketsale in the centre of Utrecht. Near the Tivoli Oudegracht I think.

    Indeed, across the canal from Tivoli oudegracht(the bridge you need is right in front of tivoli, so only about 100 metres) at the Trianon is where ticket sale was last year. The years before that it was at a caravan on the bridge in front of Tivoli oudegracht. It has happened a few times the saturday was sold out during the midday, so be early.

    Early? As far as I know, the festival starts Friday, so obviously we are getting our tickets then. :)
    We'll be in Utrecht already Thursday night, but I'm guessing the ticket sale is closed by then. Any parties or get-togethers that day we should know of?

    No parties planned on Thursday. Enough to do though. There is pop-o-matic in Tivoli if you are into alternative music. Its the student partynight, so expect lots of beer drinking, drunkness and screaming at eachother. Sounds like the Danish alright. :D

    Alternative hangouts in Utrecht: ACU (left wing ex-squat organisation), Boothill saloon (metal pub), Stairway to heaven (rock/alternative). If you danes want to drink lots of beer i recommend Cafe Belgie. Its at the other side of the Canal across from Tivoli, and has about 20 kinds of beer (mostly Belgian) on tap.

    Thanks for the recommendations! I really weren't looking for preparties to the festival or any such thing, just good ways to get out, see the city, and get drunk, and possibly meet up with any of the guys I know who might also have arrived on Thursday.
