@S80
Yes it is more club friendly than the previous albums but so what. Being club friendly isn't the reason it was good. It was good because every song was quality stuff. There is alot of shitty club music.
@r3mote
Thats another awesome track!
Not to be a jerk, but what happened to the dude from Suicide Commando's face?
http://www.chaindlk.com/interviews/images/SuicideCommando2/SuicideCommando2_pic1.jpg
Chuck Norris.
No seriously, does that matter?
just curious!
i wonder what you look like campee
i look like a cross between tubgirl and goatse. maybe there's a cool story behind the scars?
@Campee
Maybe or maybe not but thats not he point it's rude to bring stuff up like that.
@Campee ... I'm not sure if I really get your question, is there anything wrong with that picture ? Ever heard of make up ? These pics were taken for the "bind torture kill" campaign and since we had a make up artist at our disposal it was only logical to use it ...
And ... I'm not angry, or do you think that someone doing a movie about a war is angry, or someone doing a movie about a serial killer is angry, or someone doing a splatter movie is angry ? You're having strange questions ... Good thing I don't have a complete interview like this ...
;-)
Nothing wrong with the picture, just curious what the scar on the side of your face was from. Apparently it's make-up.
Your music is pretty angry stuff, I just figured it was an extension of how you felt. Silly me.
I always felt SC had a bit of irony in it, and Johan always seemed like a cheerful fellow to me. The name "suicide commando" alone is awesome, but I think most people don't really pay attention to it beyond the "suicide" part and just relate it to evil industrial and goth cliches. Is it taken from the old song by No More, by the way?
Indeed the name "suicide commando" comes from the old No More song (but also referring to the japanese suicide pilots in world war 2) and funny thing is that after almost 25 years I finally played together with No More few weeks ago in Germany. Really nice couple actually !
It was almost as weird as sharing the same stage as Klinik, still my biggest influence ever.
Sure there's a part of irony in my music and lyrics, but either I have a bad sense of humour, or many people in this scene take themselves too seriously and don't get the irony in some of my songs.
But don't get me wrong, apart from the irony I also have enough serious things to tell with my songs and lyrics, but it seems that some (luckily only a minority) don't even take the time and effort to listen to my music and above all lyrics and still think it's cool to bash on suicide commando (and others) for silly reasons.
@Suicide Commando and Sumez
Thats interesting I always thought you got the name from this old war movie. You learn something new everyday.
Singing about serial killers is hella deep, man.
lulz
@campee ... :-)
you're funny, did you actually listen to "implements of hell" ? Apart from the album title and 1 (!!!) song there's nothing about serial killers on there, that was exactly what I was trying to say that some people don't even take the effort to listen to it properly, and you just sadly proved it. Guess you're running 4 years behind, but oh well ...
Speaking of situational irony. What about someone named campee criticizing someone for doing campy art?
“Camp” n. or “Campy” adj. refers to intentionally exaggerated thematic or genre elements, especially in television and motion picture mediums. “Camp” style willfully over-emphasizes certain elements of the genre or theme, creating an almost self-satirical milieu.
@Johan- fuck the haters man, you cannot be worried about the people that just do not comprehend artistic intention and get it confused with typical shock tactics. There is no hope for them..

I recently got "Implements of Hell", and I really like it. It's a good aggressive and energetic album. However, it delivers the usual Suicide Commando sound without any real surprises. Just about every song is as good as the next, but they don't sound a lot different from each other.
My favorite tracks are "The Dying Breed", "Death Cures All Pain", "God is in the Rain" and "Until We Die". They're a little more creative and interesting to me than the rest of the songs on the album that all somewhat blend together.
The only track that I don't like is "Severed Head". It sort of just plods along with repetitive samples, and just doesn't really appeal to me. I can listen to it without skipping past it, but it's not something that I especially enjoy.
"Implements of Hell" is a good album overall, but I still think that I like "Bind, Torture, Kill" more since it offers a little more variety.
