    My favorites are:

    Die Motherfucker Die
    The Pleasures of Sin
    Come Down With Me

But will probably have to replace "Come down with me" with God is in the rain since it's a crowd fav and all =)

Sumez, cant tell if youre joking but .....'

""Axis of evil" is a term initially used by the former United States President George W. Bush in his State of the Union Address on January 29, 2002 and often repeated throughout the rest of his stay in office, describing governments that he accused of helping terrorism and seeking weapons of mass destruction.
President Bush named Iran, Iraq and North Korea as the axis of evil."

wikipedia never lies so, thats what i thought the logo was about

Bush has/had no idea what he's talking about. Those three countries have never been allied (in the case of Iraq and Iran, quite the opposite).

...and what's more, I'm pretty much certain they never intended to promote "evil" activities. Any politician using that word in an official context should be immediately removed from his post...

I'm sure SC using the term "Axis of Evil" is intended at least partly as a parody on Bush's drunken ramblings, but I guess Johan should answer that one.

  4. I'm not sure...I guess it was in the interview on the Axis Of Evil bonus DVD?
I think it was something like "if there is an axis of evil, it is the US government".
But Johan will probably unravel this... ;)

My choice for songs to play live from IOH:
    - The Pleasures Of Sin
    - Die Motherfucker Die
    - Death Cures All Pain
    - God Is In The Rain
    - Hate Me
    - Come Down With Me

  9. Okay, sorry guys for my late feedback, so where do I start ...
The IIXIII logo actually appeared for the first time on the "face of death" single we did shortly before the "axis of evil" album, so basically it has not that much to do with the title, it more was an "updated" version of our old X logo which we used for some of our first releases ("contamination" and "construct-destruct").
But the title "axis of evil" indeed was borrowed from our crazy old friend G. Bush. It wasn't really meant as a parody though, but actually more of a statement against Bush and the US invasion in Iraq at that time.

Hope that sums it up a bit ...

Thanks for the live suggestions, I just played them all during our show in Holland last weekend ... all except "massaker", sorry djkrat !
    ;-)
Still need to get used to the new set myself, but reactions have been very positive so far, so I'm happy.

@Sumez ... we haven't been playing "massaker" for ages now, so about time that you come and check out our new live set !

Each time I hear Severed Head, it becomes better and better. Perhaps it's a new top three in the near future.

  12. This was our setlist last couple of shows:

    Intro
    The pleasures of sin
    Hate me
    Death cures all pain
    Dein herz, meine gier
    The perils of indifference
    Love breeds suicide
    Cause of death: suicide [remix]
God is in the rain [clubmix]
    Die motherfucker die
    Bind, torture, kill [2010 version]
    Come down with me

    Until we die
    Conspiracy with the devil

    Hellraiser

But planning on changing set for WGT, would love to include "severed head" as well. And perhaps revamp "comatose delusion" ?!
    Any other wishes ?
    ;-)

  13. Well, since you're asking, I'd personally be delighted to hear Fuck You Bitch or Raise Your God, although I've seen you perform those a few times before :)

But as long as you keep Death Cures All Pain in there, I'm glad.

I still enjoy the tracks "The Mirror" and "Mother".

  15. I think "raise your god" has been longest part of my live set, together with "love breeds suicide", even played it more often then classics like "hellraiser" ... so I left it out this time.
Well any way, I switch the encores pretty often, so with some luck we even might play it again at WGT.

Oh, I always loved playing "cry for mother" ... but so many songs to pick from, have to make a decision in the end.
I do think "the mirror" might sound a bit outdated now.

Yes please upddate the mirror! That and Massacre. Those with Better off Dead were my favorite tracks from that album and the driller mix of better of dead came out great.

    Shots for all !

Why no "classic" SC? I'm always amazed that bands never play the stuff that actually got them a fanbase. Why no "Desire", "Ignorance"...yeah I am sure you played them to death in the past but 1 or 2 old tracks for fans that have been into SC pre-2000 when all the fanboys jumped on board because of Mindstrip would be a nice way of saying "thank you" to the people that have been there since you were on OFF-BEAT.

The reason why everyone got into Mindstripper is because it is good as fuck.

    @Sewn

No, people got into it because it was club friendly and had a hard 4/4 beat. Yes it's a good album, but it's one of those cases where if you weren't a fan of S.C. already you became one. I loved playing old S.C. stuff when I djed and loved it more when someone asked me who it was and was shocked to find out S.C. had 6 albums out before Mindstrip.
