  2. I'm bored, I just quit drinking AND lost my job like three days later, I took a long break from listening to any of this garbage, and I'm bored. So bored.

Also yes. Hang on, I'm putting on my robe and wizard hat.

  3. Damn, that is tough. Proceed then mr. mage.

So what did you listen to in the interim? Or did you abstain from all music?

  4. I was almost exclusively listening to/playing in death and black metal bands with some indie rock thrown in there. All my friends made fun of me when I would bring up how no man, industrial is cool, Ulver turned into an industrial band and you like them man, and they'd just laugh and laugh.

  5. By the by, I really like the RO1OR and soillodge tracks you have up on your website. Very cool, very not-what-everyone-else-is-doing.

  6. lol..nice friends :P

Thank you for the compliments. I am trying to force my own path and it's cool when people recognize that.

So now i'm curious, if you like industrial and you like metal, have you heard I, Parasite?

  8. I had heard Turin and really liked it, but I figured they went the way of so many other good bands from that era (i.e. disappeared — looking at you, crocshop). It's awesome to discover that this is not the case! I am really digging the stuff from the new record, thanks for posting the link.

  10. In terms of metal/rock-industrial hybrids, I don't think it gets much better than The Young Gods. I have been stunned at the quality of their recent output (Super Ready/Fragmenté and Everybody Knows are GREAT records). 25-plus years into their career and releasing what are arguably their best records? That's crazy, man. That's Killing Joke style.
