Besides the obvious playback(with vocals) which she even talks over, her regular singing is just terrible. Who ever said she was a good singer who actually knew how to sing?

    Shots for all !

well if I compare this to an industrial show....Lady Gaga actually has ummm...what the fuck are those called...A SHOW.

Oh and another thing I notice about this concert....there's more then 30 people there lol.

And telling from the bass....she has more then a casio and a mic plugged into a boombox.

she also has a pretty big budget ;) I'd like to give Feindflug a million dollar tour finance just to see what they'd come up with. I bet it would look a lot more interesting that Lady Gaga.

that tends to help a bit, I guess all that $$$ didn't go for her vocal training

that's what that shit is....all show, no substance. If it didn't have all that crap it would be so boring.

I'd give the million to Mind.In.A.Box, that would be a lot more awesome than Feindflug.

Forward it to Portion Control, so they could finally tour the states. Mordant Music and Vindicatrix could open.

I don't really like Mind.In.A.Box but I gotta agree with Tek...they would make more use of the cash over Feindflug

You're assuming a scene band would know what to do with that much money. Not to mention that much money comes with the expectation said artist will draw more than 30 people. I think a lot of talented artists (in all scenes) go nowhere is because they are missing other elements required for success.

In case you don't know, success requires 3 essential ingredients:

    1) Talent - Singing, songwriting, performing, charisma... all of these DO take talent.
    2) Business smarts - knowing the right people, understanding who your fans are. This includes an actual motivation to work on the business aspect of art. Many many artists will not/can not do this.
    3) Luck

Giving a million dollars to a band won't automatically make them that much better, it may water them down, it may change nothing. Lady Gaga gets millions to tour because she releases hit, after hit, after hit, after hit. But then again, when a scene band does that, you all just go for the throat anyways and talk about how it isn't art anyways. So I guess if your favorite band got $1,000,000 and used it to finance their stardom, you'd all probably decide they are no longer artists and find another band 15 people know about to worship.

  14. Daniel, I think you're taking those posts a little too seriously. :)

Dave is just contemplating what Feindflug's live show would look like if they had $1,000,000 to blow off, I think the thought alone is awesome. I know you don't like Feindflug, but at least you have to admit MIAB have talent.

Most people in the scene don't have the business smarts of a major label, and honest to god, I'm glad they don't!

  15. Btw, I'd feel pretty stupid paying big buck for attending a concert like that and having to watch it all on a monitor hanging next to the actual stage

And when you're a fan of EBM or Industrial, you lose anyway !!! If you like the small band, you're a snob, if you like the (relatively) popular band you're a sold out...

It's hard to like anything at all without being accused of either wrong !

Lady Gaga looks like the blonde hooker from Fall Out 3 that lives in the house near the school =)

Not trying to start any arguments or anything, but this style of music is all about the show and not about being able to pull an obviously studio-based album off live.

I am, by no means, a GaGa fan, but she actually does have talent.

    Check it out:

Say what you want, but all of these people; Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, etc. all actually do have some talent to start with. They were all on the Mickey Mouse Club when they were younger and had to be able to actually sing and dance, as auto-tune wasn't exactly an option back then.
