  1. @Michael

    You've got mail.

    @Pierre

    Bien reçu merci:)

    COTBT

    Howdy, how goes it? Keep in touch.

    @Tsarik

    It's EASY to pass judgement when you don't know all the facts. Unlike YOU, I've invested $$$$ in a vanishing electro sound & it's my undivided passion for old school electro that kept me going (In case you haven't noticed, I'm NOT driven by financial incentives). I'm a health care professional & EAR is a hobby I take very seriously. I know what's at stake here & I don't wanna incur a hefty loss (do you have any idea how many people wanna illegally download the box-set the day it comes out? I guess not, cuz you've never invested in the music industry).

    The OSE statement posted on December 7, 2009 is crystal clear. I kindly asked customers to contact me if they are no longer willing to wait. 6 customers have canceled their order so far & I gave them their money back right away. It has been a very, very frustrating project, but I'm determined to finish it & move on.

    PS; Object DCD has nothing to do with OSE. It ISN'T done yet (Index AI's cover isn't the only thing delaying the project. Andy is still honing a few tracks). It'll be ready when it's ready.

    Cheers

    Please don't feel obligated to justify the delay on public forums. Object fans know how to get in touch with you www.myspace.com/objectger It's plain & simple.

    Seraphin

    Thank you for the kind words. Much appreciated:)

  3. what are all the facts? the only facts I'm aware of are missed projected release dates... and a now unknown release date, and you taking pre-orders for something that hasn't even been paid to manufacture... you took money months before the December 7th statement

    i wasn't under the impression that EAR was simply a hobby when I pre-ordered. i may have not invested in the music industry as you put it.... i did invest in your hobby though.. remember i was the first to pre-order? ... and i've made many investments... one thing common to them all is risk... but i did my homework and invested my money... i didn't try to sell my investment to others in order to finance my own investment.

    do you really think that anyone who downloads music illegally is ever... ever going to shell out the money for a big boxset? how exactly does your plan increase sales... the rate of pre-orders isn't enough to keep up with the inflation of the dollar

    there is no need for Andy to justify anything because he hasn't taken anyone's money. i think it makes sense to address issues your fans have on whatever venue those fans and artist choose to use... especially when the alternative is as dead as... myspace?

    maybe this is some new strategy. drive sales by remaining as closed mouth as possible. makes sense

    I'll be the first to admit that releasing a luxurious collector's item nowadays is a recipe for financial disaster. My undivided passion for old school electro has blinded my better judgement. I'm only human & I learn from my mistakes. Thanks to EAR fans/customers who believed in this DREAM PROJECT. Your continued support is very much appreciated.

    Maybe we can help though, since now many of us are involved and all agree that we all love the idea.

    We all have PLENTY of friends on Facebook more or less into industrial and dark electro, maybe if we all spam our friends it's gonna help drive sales and for us all to finally see the product in the mail.

    Nader if you can put a Facebook message together that we can share I'd be the first one to share to all my friends. Maybe something that includes text, visuals and sound.

    What do you guys think about it ? instead of bickering we could be a community for once and do something together, all egos aside.

  6. I am not gonna lie, I used to be a HUGE downloader of music, didn't give a flying fuck. I met Seraphin in a game and introduced me into the old school dark electro. He changed my ENTIRE fucking outlook on music basically to where I loved every terror-banana band out there and loving every song on a podcast no matter how unknown the band to not liking hardly ANY of these new shitty bands and delving even deeper to rarer unknown music. My cd collection consisted of 4 cd's before I met Seraphin. I am proud to say today I have over 30 and just pre-ordered 4 more from Storming The Base and consistantly hitting a local used CD store looking for more. So yeah, someone who downloaded music illegally will buy this boxset! I don't like the way Nader did this whole pre-order 100 before release bullshit, I understand why he did it but I sure as fuck will not risk MY money until it's near completion.

  7. @ Nader - Also I forgot, I contacted you like a month or two ago regarding getting some contact info for Mortal Constraint and Seven Trees for t-shirt permission, you told me wait 2 weeks and if no response you'd shoot them an e-mail, well...lol sad to say no response, any chance you could spare a minute and ask them for me?

  8. You know I am tempted to change the subject of the thread to "Whats going on with OSE?" only because I feel this subject line was clearly used to stir up controversy rather then obtain clear insight into what the comp's status is. If that makes me ye olde forum Nazi...

    I never post anymore, but for the record, I am also holding up the Object DCD I'm sure... So blame me, I have been working with Nader on OSE, and I know Nader can be trusted.

  13. Any word for a release from you Red+Test?

    Mortal Constraint & Seven Trees are busy professionals. I'll ask them, np:)

    PS: Red+Test=EAR.

    Nader, no problem! Good chatting with you earlier.

    DJTek,
    Page is going okay. Have some pics up and some links. I don't really know all the fancy stuff, so I wouldn't necessarily expect any sound clips on there... Anyway, just thought it would be nice to have a page dedicated exclusively to OSE (and not to EAR in general). But I'll try to keep it up to date so keep checking back often.

  19. @ Nader - you live in Hamilton? Shit dude we should grab a beer sometime! My parents live in Hamilton and I go down every few months to visit!

    I do feel some responsibility for a little of what has gone on here with OSE because I started the thread “is-it-time-to-stand-up-and-stop-pre-ordering-cds”. However, this was out of a general concern of how much money I had invested in pre-orders. Nothing to do with OSE and the thread seemed to get high-jacked.

    I’ve always trusted Nader. For someone like me who likes a physical product this release is going to be something special, 4 CD’s, a book on industrial music. Yes, I’m sure things could have been done better. I’m not here to defend Nader’ but it’s not his full-time job. So-what! Two of my favourite bands, KIFOTH, Disharmony don’t do music full-time and have other jobs. In-fact, in this scene you are very lucky if you can afford to work full-time on your music. Anyway Nader you should post on here as you have a great insight into the scene and I do miss that.

    I’d say to anyone who’s not pre-ordered… go for it and let’s get this released as soon as possible. I’ll do a bit of advertising on my website although no-one visits yet as it’s only just gone live.
