  1. I guess no one who pre-ordered can get their money back, the forum has stopped receiving assurances of a release and clearly one is not imminent. Nice scam!

    Thanks for the vote of confidence, but you're staggeringly off the mark. In case you haven't noticed, I'm constantly updating # of pre-orders to reach on myspace &facebook (31 more to go). Keep stirring up shit on forums cuz you've got nothing better to do.

    Cheers

    Nader

    PS; Jeff Garra, a veteran Sideliner, has canceled his order & he got his money back right away. Customers know how to reach me.

    Shots for all !

    I hate to always be that guy but I am going to be...

    It maybe that time you just bit the bullet and fronted the leftover and hope for the best with the release.

    Funny, thread. No one started a thread claiming they were ripped off by OSE pre-orders. Everyone got their back that wanted it. Perhaps Bill is lobbying for chief rabble-rouser of Side-line forum. You may need to start better threads than this.

    I am in till it's released unless I begin to starve and need that money.
    I trust Nader. He has too much passion to fail.

    No wonder why I don't post on forums anymore. EAR fans/customers know how to get in touch with me.

    @Michael

    I'm going to NYC this weekend, but I've a very tight schedule. I hope we'll meet soon!

    @EAR
    I just browsed the word document yesterday but the theme is very interesting to me as I have many friends from that region. I find there is a huge lack of easily accessible information on the subject matter, backed by historical facts I mean.

    I wish you did still post here; your insight into bands and knowledge is unrivaled and always leads to a decent musical discovery.

  19. i never thought OSE was a scam

    Nader is knowledgeable and passionate and is an asset to the old school electronic music scene.... he's human too though and I think the execution of OSE wasn't properly planned and the criticism received wasn't handled properly either.

    would i have been any less defensive than he under such critical scrutiny? probably not, which is why I'm still willing to buy OSE.

    when i pre-ordered, i did so under the understanding that i always have when i pre-order... and that is that the album is definitely coming out within the next month or two. you can't build up all kinds of hype and then not release when you said you would because now you have to get X amount of pre-orders before the album even goes to print.

    the amount of pre-orders was dismal and the number as everyone can see has increased slower than the rate that money is becoming inflated.. hell i lost $15 through difference of exchange rates when i got my money back from OSE.

    i believed in Nader and OSE... but no one should be allowed to hold anyone's money for 6 months interest free... let alone over a year when no actual product has been produced and none will until some arbitrary number of pre-orders is reached.

    and this has caused other problems.... Object's new album was supposed to come out last summer. Nader has said that it is only waiting for a couple of remixes to be done.... i guess i just have a problem believing that Eric Chamberlin can release 3 albums in 1 year... but take over a year remixing 1 single track.

    so while Nader wrestles with a project he wasn't equipped to actually release (containing bands that may never release another album) .... other projects get pushed to the wayside and the hype built up for them subsides

    @Tsarik: it's not erics or naders problem that the remixes are taking much longer to finish as it was planned. it's my fault in this case...but that's too complicated to explain here...:-) i think/hope it will be worth the wait for my new album!
