    IAMSOUND Records

    I get the feeling it won't appeal to many Side-Liners, but this is the release I'm most excited about this year. Just so epic.

  5. i really enjoy the composition... but none of the sounds really shine.. or maybe this is an intentional thing... i just wish more the individual elements stood out a little more

    this track is totally boring with godawful production to boot

  13. Andy... hasn't it only needed 2 remixes completed for over 6 months? people write entire albums in that time... and the caliber of the remixers is unquestionable... they're professionals.

    i don't know why i feel so entitled. i know its wrong, but fuck... i NEED a new Object album.

  14. Not too shabby.

    @Andy

    Gatekeeper is gonna release another 12".

    Dinosaurs are very meticulous & we simply CAN'T rush 'em. We'll set a firm release date for the cd/dcd when it's ready.

  15. I don't get it. They took parts of a Christmas song and mixed it with some crappy synths and even crappier drum sounds, and then processed the whole thing to sound like ass? And what I really don't get, is why I've just listened to this track three times in a row.

  16. Nader, the dinosaurs also went extinct, but i realize you can't really hasten perfection.. its done when its done and Object never disapoints.

    it just makes me wonder... why even announce that the album is complete.. minus a couple remixes.... and then not crack the whip on your remixers to get shit done... why generate any hype so far in advance... it will only die down

    hype shit that'll be out in a month or two... not something that has no known release date

    Point taken:)

    its done when its done and Object never disap(p)oints.

    True dat!

    to answer a few of yee,

    yeah, the production is really DIY and its intended to be that way. which I think is interesting but I can see a few of you don't like it. I daresay most the album will be like that.

    no idea about anything to do with releases. I'm probably going to order online, but they've got a little hype behind them so I wouldn't be surprised if the cool record stores had a couple of these after release.

    @Demog
    yeah, I eagerly await the next Gatekeeper release. A little bit similar is White Car, who I think might be friends of theirs, who do minimalist EBM funk.

    I only mention this because I wish for Side-Line to nurture the young who have the potential of bringing new life to old ideas.

  19. News from Gatekeeper

    "Our next release will be a 6 song 12" on Merok planned to come out this september. We don't have the exact date yet."

    PS; White Car sounds very promising!

  20. doesn't vinyl cost more than CD? who the fuck buys vinyl anymore? i'm sure there are some that do... but yeah.. way to limit yourself to an aging, dying demographic
