could have one of them for a good price....anyone has one and is happy or sad with it?
I already own the JP8080, the TB-303 and the XP-80 from Roland....is it a good addition to these or rather something more for the visual?

It can sound pretty cool with a lot of tweaking. Did not overwhelm the JP series like it was designed to do. I still think the JP's had the best VA sound. It actually modeled waveforms instead of using sampled waves like the SH32. The interface is really what horrified me though. Several different kinds of menus and layouts tossed right on the face like a VST synth put in a box. The effects were great-classic Roland stuff, but when you cut out all the effects and just get to the raw waves, they just were not as pristine as the VA modeling and the filtering and modulation sections just did not grab me like some other VA synths. Basically it felt like those cheapo dance music grooveboxes that were popular around that time.
If you can get it for really cheap, and have the time to site with an program stuff out with that crazy interface, go for it. But it will not really effect your overall sound and it does not have a sonic footprint that really stands out. It can be trumped even by modern VST stuff.

I've considered getting one of those once despite the horrible interface but I decided against since I have enough grooveboxes.
horrible interface? I mean is there not just one control per parameter?
for me a nord lead has a horrible interface....
No, the OSC and LFO's are stacked on top of each other. You have to pay attention to what you have selected and are tweaking. You cannot operate the functions separately live unless you record it via MIDI. Then there are two rotary menus on the right side that were built just plain stupid. Doubling the functionality of the buttons that act as keys, the sequencer control, and program parameters. Very similar to the Roland Groovebox arrangements. So if you have the stomach to deal with those, this should be ok to figure out.

I was going to get one of these a while back for around 200-250, but then decided
it was just another box of sounds and to save my money.
Reading soillodge's post makes me think the Waldorf Largo would be a much better investment.
Speaking of little boxes of sound.. anyone check out that Dave Smith TETRA?
4 Mopho's in one, or half a Prophet 08.
