Yes... But i will not tell you!!!
Buy the music, if you like it!!!
The artists do a hard job to create their songs, and one should support them, not rip.

  7. if you have an audio interface you can just tell your OS to route audio out of it instead of through the PC default interface... then just record that output back in on the interface

plug an audio cable from your output jack to your input jack and hit record in whatever audio editing software you prefer

  10. @Apexxx- you have never heard of a feedback loop? It will work at low levels, but because of the feedback you are going to get really shitty quality samples.

@michael i have a shitty asio interface (m-audio firewire solo) and it cannot internally route audio, and i don't know of asio-compatible ripper softwares, so i do as apexxx does, and didn't have problems with feedback, of course i keep my eye on the levels, and if the recorded material is a bit low, i normalize it before cutting to smaller files. the quality of samples i acquire in this way is fine, ok, i wouldn't use them to make some hd arty-farty installation, but, for sampling blade runner and alien, it is ok

  12. for all of the voice samples in http://soundcloud.com/rust-creep/and-this-will-rip-open-your-consciousness

i played the dvd on my pc... i just went into the control panel (win7) and told my PC the default output for audio was my allen & heath mix which is connected via usb. i then sent that usb channel to a channel on my mixer and recorded that channel back through the usb into my PC.

there was an fx send in that signal chain but not important to his needs.

This is a two step method but the advantage is you can convert videos to any audio format.
Get Download Helper to save the flash movies:
    http://www.downloadhelper.net/
It is also a firefox addon
Then batch convert them with Audio Extractor:
    http://www.pazera-software.com/products/audio-extractor/

When using Download Helper select the files with 480p, 360 and 240 usually sound awful. 720p with the mp4 extension are huge files with only slightly better almost indistinguishable audio quality than 480p.
For the audio extractor I usually select extract to mp3, If you are super worried about quality you can select "try to extract original audio stream" however it can leave you with .aac .wv and other oddball files that some programs will not work with.
If you are trying to get a short sample from a long flashmovie such as a lecture be sure to jot down the time, because rolling through a 15min file will make you lose your work flow.

The new gorillaz album features a sample from Youtube. You can tell because it sounds so wack. I think it was very lazy of them.

  16. Or just use "Audacity", it's free, open source app that will record from "Wave Out" on XP/"Stereo Mix" on Windows 7.

Since it's youtube, I doubt that anything will be of any value due to the quality.

Some special YouTube websites allow us to rip audio from YouTube videos. Still, using an audio recorder, you could also rip sound from YouTube directly.

  20. I have here a tool that converts YouTube music into MP3. YouTube To MP3 Converter is the best tool as I am searching for the best converter on internet. Its cheap because it 100% free. Also, the instruction is easy. Just paste the URL of the chosen music video and in just a couple of minutes, it will be converted.
