  1. Let that be clear to everyone as I have spent the past few hour deleting several mails with people offering CDs.

    Your listings:
    - have to be on eBay, if not they'll be deleted
    - have to be posted in the eBay section.

    Thanks,

    B

  2. Why do they have to be on Ebay? I mean it's your forum, but why such a pointless and arbitrary stipulation?

Yes, i also don't see the point of it.

I just posted a list of over 500 electro and industrial cd's for sale.

    5 euro's each!

Drop me a line when interested in receiving the list.

I also agree with Rogue & TekNoir...why do the items have to be for sale on ebay? I do agree all sale items should be posted on that separate "ebay" listing/forum, but we can all save a lot of money in fees by selling directly to one another. Payment via PayPal will still offer us all protection against "theft", etc. Plus, Side-Line itself does not stand to gain or lose in this effort...it's not like it has a secret partnership with ebay (?)

  5. I don't have an ebay account. Is ebay paying you for this exclusivity?

Perhaps it is fear of Mr. Sideline/Alfa-Matrix that Alfa-Matrix will sell even less cd's when we are all swapping our second hand but still pretty decent cd's around?

My two posts with lists for cd sale have been deleted. I don't understand why.

I have to say i find this to be quite retarded myself. So to be able to sell me off some vinyls and CDs i have to put everything on Ebay and deal with their crap while posting on a forum directly connected to potential buyers is much better and easier. How much money you guys getting from Ebay?

Everyone - please feel free to email me any sale lists. My email is: stevenf37 (funky a) hotmail (small dot) com

Also, are we "allowed" to post our wantlists? I'm looking for specific cd's and tapes I'm curious if anyone here has and wants to sell.

  10. it's simple, it's our forum, we decide how thing shappen. Not satisfied, then go elsewhere to sell your cds.

Let me remind you all that it's thanks to side-line that you get the sales, so you either accept our policy or you just don't post here to sell. we don't charge you for posting up here, the least you can do is obey by the rules.

99% obey, 1% tries to spoil it for everyone. speaking of being very egocentric!

you should also ban posting about bands, especially bands releasing new cds. after all, they might be getting cd sales because of sideline!

  12. @ 666: any other dumb responses you have in mind?

We offer the possibility, there is no reason to abuse of what we give for free.

  13. "First results: we sold for over 400 euro so far via the eBay store links placed. Keep on posting your ebay listings in there. "

    My guess is yes.

  16. @ Bernard - We were just wondering the reason why that rule is in place. No need to go playing Internet Tough Guy on your own forum.
Rules are fine, but rules with an actual rationale are better IMHO.

I could be wrong, but I think Ebay is paying a finder's fee. And Side-Line not being a charity... well you can all do 2 + 2.

  18. @ Tek - Well, that would make sense. Still, would've been nice to hear this from Bernard himself.

  19. Ebay blows. Let's not forget their now-former CEO, Meg Whitman and her "wonderful" platform:
-wants to suspend the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006
    -against same-sex marriage
-performed a really shady/quasi-legal form of insider-trading with Goldman Sachs employees to ensure getting great deals on IPOs whilst cutting off legitimate funds from buying thus using cronyism to make money on these stock sales.
-theft of copyright from failbog during her gubernatorial campaign
-against legalization of marijuana, even for medicinal purposes
    -for building new prisons
-against public funding of secondary schools

all of these are just on her platform page for governer alone.

Yea, get your shady money from Ebay.
