So I finally got around to buying one of those CDs from the Infacted Recordings "classics" series (Shift) and I was pretty disappointed. Don't get me wrong it was great getting those tracks again and the new remix was nice, but I was hoping for liner notes with information and such. I guess I was just getting my hopes up, that in this day of "digital versions" an actual disc would give us a little more. What you are doing is great Infacted, and I will no doubt buy some more (I see that you have A-Head listed in your band roster -- and I can't wait for a "Deep Down" re-release.... fingers crossed), but a little more would be nice. Basically what the point of this is: do any of the other re-releases have any further info that was not included with the original?.

thanks for the posting, well, the basic idea is to get old, deleted material to the newer generation of electro fans. Mainly we wanted to polish the sound, artwork and give the fans as much as good "old" music as possible for a fair price. We decided to let a pro remaster all songs and design a style of artwork for a nice series. We also do a proper DJ promo to even transport the old sound back into the clubs of today.
When it comes to SHIFT, well, Mr. Shift now lives in suitzerland and is totally out of the electro scene. It was pretty hard finding him and getting as much cool tracks together for a cool re-release. What kind of additional information were you expecting? E.g. with XMTP we included cool pix in the booklet but we did not had any material of SHIFT to include. SHIFT was a so called ONE HIT WONDER... so a GREAT release but not really much to say about Mr. SHIFT himself...
A-HEAD is already re-released as a digital single through iTunes, Musicload etc. and could possibly one day also become a classic release, who knows... :-)

offlineMemberWas going to mention Scarecrow 'Black Door'. I bought the download, didn't sound all that great to me.. Was that one remastered as well? When I listened to it it almost sounded like a vinyl, like it was just recorded from that. Seems like it could/should be cleaned up a bit if possible. I bought off I-Tunes. Is this just regular limitations of mp3's?
