Has anyone used these? What do you think of them?

Also, Do you need to be running a E-mu brand interface to use them?

  2. with midi you can use any midi controller to control anything, so dont sweat that part. Yes, i have an EMU XL-7, and i use the kick sound from it on most of my songs, but I have not been using the synth to its full potential, not remotely. I use it mostly just to jam along with my guitar. there are some yahoo mail groups that are EMU specific, go join one. i am on one for the XL7, but i dont contribute i just read the messqages

I see. The page for this product dictates that you are to own
an e-mu product and have it enabled on the same machine as these
two software instruments in order to use them. It acts as a sort of
"Copy Protection", I'm not sure how that makes sense.

I own a E-mu Xboard, so I'm assuming it's safe to pick up a copy
of the Emulator X3 without having to buy one of the E-mu Interfaces.

They supposedly pack all of the E-mu modules into a VSTi. There is
even a freeware Proteus VX to download from their page, in which
you can sort of get an idea of how it works.
