    Hi,
What does everyone think of Poupee Fabrikk? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poupp%C3%A9e_Fabrikk. This band sounds really awesome from the material I’ve heard. Thoughts? Which albums are the best? Also interested in any feedback on side-projects (Mz. 412, Nordvargr, etc.)
    Thanks,
    Erik

  2. Well...the side projects you mentioned are all Nordvargr related ones which are dark ambient, militaria, etc. I believe the project CAP is more in the PF sound and it's a damn good side project of theirs!

MZ.412 was more than just a Nordvargr-related side project. The original Maschinenzimmer 412 line-up was Henrik Bjorkk (originally Kremator, subsequently Nordvargr), Jouni Ollila (Ulvtharm), and Leif Holm (who I guess was Shaitan, but I’ve never seen that confirmed), all from Pouppee Fabrikk. Later Jonas Aneheim (Drakhon, later Drakh) became a member of both Pouppee Fabrikk and MZ.412.

Most PF side-projects are, as Seraphin says, Nordvargr projects, due to his high work rate. A list is here: http://www.nordvargr.com/disco.html

Most are dark ambient, martial or power electronics (and most are excellent), though some, such as Goatvargr, are more black metal. Nordvargr isn't really interested in EBM any more, so I was quite surprised when he re-joined PF.

There's a podcast of Nordvargr material here: http://onesdecrom.podomatic.com/

Jouni Ollila is also in Mr Jones Machine, which is synthpop.

Jonas Aneheim does dark ambient under the name Drakh and as a member of Beyond Sensory Experience.

By co-incidence, Cold Spring have just put up the first of the MZ.412 re-issues on their site:

I've heard some MZ. 412 and I think a little bit of some of the other side-projects..

But interested mostly in PF for the time being. I wish their cd's were cheaper/easier to get. Are there any reissues coming out?

I really enjoy most of their work. "Rage" seems a little dated now, but I did like it a lot years ago. "We've Come To Drop Bombs" is pretty heavy. I listen to it often. For a different side to PF their album "Djävulen" CD is sound track work. It has something to do with Clive Barker.

CAP is tremendous. If you see their CD, GET IT!!!!!!

Listening to "Happy Dead" from 'Elite Electronics'. You can hear it on their Facebook page.

These guys are awesome! I like how the singer sort of sounds like an EBM version of Phil Anselmo.
