Portal 2: anyone playing?

    I dont care about the TF2-Style DLC store to drain money from idiots, i admit the potato fiasco was pointless but its no big deal, what is a big deal is the short lenght of the game and the lack of any challenges. You think after so many years of releasing NOTHING, valve would have graphically upgraded the engine, tought about clever puzzles, or at least made the game last for more than 4 fucking hours, but no. Even the co-op is short, if you ever played left 4 dead, imagine its the same lenght as 1 campaging. 8 - 9 hours of total gameplay with no replayability = not worth 50 bucks.

    Pro-Tip=The word is campaign ;)

    This is the first bad review I have seen for the game, everything else I have read negates what you are saying-except that it IS short, but the original was very short. If it is an effective game, it does not need to be long. As for the price, I never buy a game when it is first released. I wait for some streamline updates and some DLC's to be available. Then you spend 60$ and get a whole lot more for your cash. I just bought Mass Effect 2 last month. Got the game and all the DLC's for the same price as the game when it was released.

    It's you idiots that need everything the minute it gets released so you waste all your money and then bitch and moan about it. Thanks for the amusement. :D

    I bought Portal 2 on the release date because I got an additional copy of the game for free [for the PC].

    @ dodd - No, but apparently they are releasing some "big announcements" within this year... so I am assuming Ep 3 will be among them.

    i got it last night. love it. i like to support a series i really like when they come out. GTA for example. Otherwise i tend to shop more conservatively. I'm sure i'll be irritated when Portal2 ends too soon & assuming they dont pack on come Co-op multiplayer maps.

    the return of GLaDOS & the addition of Stephen Merchant & JK Simmons is awesome.

    @metaball thank god people like you are buying GTA games the day they come out. you are keeping the gaming industry alive!

    i'm waiting for the price to drop to $20. portal's a cool game, but, not a game i'd pay a lot of money for. it's the kind of game that should come preloaded with an operating system.

    @r3mote: i'm a firm believer in the archaic concept of "if you like stuff, give it money". then one day, instead of bankers & oil tycoons manipulating politics via corrupt campaign financing & action committees, it'll be R* & VALVe.

    I played it from a friend's steam account, since my money is worth 4 times less i wont pay 200 bucks for a videogame ever. I was stating my opinion about the game for those who haven't bought it yet, so you can save your "wasting money moaning idiot" speech for someone else kthxbye.

    @ebmboy the singleplayer IS 4 hours long, and i took my time listening to all the dialogues, if someone was getting bored of the "robot humour" and started rushing, i say it can be done in 3:30 hours with no problem.

    Of course with the co-op mode you get another bach of 3-4 hours, wich are plenty of fun but honestly, 50 bucks titles should at least reach 10 hours of gameplay, or have some replayability, wich this game lacks.
