  5. Millennium is one of my least favorite FLA albums but has one of my all time favorite FLA songs on it.

It would help if you stopped considering Combichrist industrial in the first place. Call it EBM or Techno if you want but not industrial.

i prefer tracks from the mid-era "constipated" FLA vocal sound over the early "moany" vocal material & the later marble mouthed "gr-OOUW-L" technique.

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THIS MUSIC?!?!?!? IT FUCKING SUCKS!!!

a bunch of burned out ravers and eurotrash ebm goths infiltrated and turned Industrial into dance music thats what happened... no one used to "dance" to Industrial, like at an FLA show there was just a massive pit and the rest of the people just stood there watching... for sure no one was dancing...

  11. What happened is you all got industrial confused with EBM.

I'm reposting this link from amiles - http://www.myspace.com/deadfader
It's not another electronic bowel movement. It's not just another pointless rehash of old "true" industrial. It's just good.

Millenium sucks in 94, and it still sucks. It is by far the worst album of FLA.

As for industrial: I just saw an interview with Throbbing gristle where they were asked about current industrial and how that moved so far from what they were. They responded: "We started being Throbbing Gristle again".

So maybe we all should start being Throbbing Gristle again.

Also: Industrial in the beginning was set up as an alternative to rock. So called "Industrial" with guitars and pits are sure as hell not industrial. The raver side is though. Techno influences are ok, because techno itself is influenced by early industrial (Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire). Those both bands started making techno/house as well (Throbbing Gristle as Coil and PTV, and Cabaret Voltaire as themselves), so the link is pretty obvious. By definition Industrial should be dance music, and not retarted metal with bad guitarplayers who play over an mildly electronic backing.

I don't care what you call it if I like it. I don't mind the guitars if you do it good. I love Cubanate and Mindless Faith, and some of the older Ministry. I don't care if you call it Industrial or not.

  16. IMHO there's plenty good stuff still out there whatever your particular taste is, it's just certain people here expend all their energy on bawwwing and whining like little bitches instead of looking for it. And if there's GENUINELY nothing out there at all that takes your fancy, well goddamn, MAKE YOUR OWN MUSIC!!

  17. industrial should be dance music? of course a fucking DJ would say that... fuck i hate DJs

i thought throbbing gristle's music was fucking boring... when i was told it was more performance art.. i thought it made more sense... i liked coil much much more than TG

  18. oh. and Mindless Faith fucking owns!

  19. Just because you can dance to it, does not make it dance music. Also edit: Industrial in the beginning was set up as an alternative to music. not just rock, but jazz, classical, pop, punk, blues. They just wanted to say fuck everything and start something new. I'm sure most of them are disappointed that doing something new turned into so many following old ideas and making redundant dance music yelling about evil shit.

I'm with S80- FLA's Millennium was great. There is no denying that perfect blend of EBM and guitar samples. Completely industrial and effective.

  20. "retarted" ...lol

I like Millenium. Not as much as Tactical Neural Implant but still its pretty badass. Industrial mutated into dance music but it didn't start out that way. You must be thinking of Goth where dudes with puffy pirate shirts and chics in Lilly Munster dresses swayed to the music like willow trees. If you recall it used to be the "Gothic/Industrial" scene lol...
