Oi ebm

    Recently I've been listening to bands like Container 90 and T.W.A.T. I love the hardcore punk vocals mixed with the stompy old school beats. Can anyone recommend some other bands like this? I like AD:key but I'm looking for something angrier and less danceable.

    I think you should listen to Experiment Haywire. I think it might be kind of like what you are looking for. Did you take your name from the band? It's so similar.?

    I have a problem with the band though, I do hear they are extreme white nationalists. Can you disprove this? I have seen a few shows and some videos, and it seems as if they are very racist.

    You have already named the best bands hehe ;)

    But some other oldschool EBMers also have influences from the oi punk. I think you can hear it in bands like Astma ( http://www.myspace.com/enecastma ) and the pscychobilly-inspired ADAC8286 ( http://www.myspace.com/adac8286 ).

    and why not EkoBrottsMyndigheten - swedish melodic oldschool ebm with a touch of And One. ( http://www.myspace.com/ekobrottsmyndigheten )

    But for the real OiBM experience you're in for a treat! We are now signed to the label Machineries Of Joy and our album "Blood, Sweat & Teargas" will be out in the beginning of 2011 preceded by a digital download EP with tracks & remixes not found on the album.

    Nice. I have heard of Astma before but never really gave them a chance. Will check them out now and the other bands that you mentioned. I'm definitely looking forward to your new album. This is a great fusion of styles and I hope to hear more of this type of sound in the future.

    Astma is really promising. Unfortunately most of what they have released is on comps. "449 Metal Bullets" is on a few comps. Very strong track. Youtube has several videos for unreleased songs that are pretty good. These guys definitely need to release an album.

    T.W.A.T. full-length will be awesome!!!! I have been waiting for that since their demo tracks.

    Check out the latest The Pain Machinery! Very punk influenced! Very awesome!

    I'm checking out Container 90 on Myspace now, and to me they don't sound particularly different from non-Oi oldschool EBM. What defines this subgenre?

    all those neo old-school ebm bands sound like electronic oi/hardcore punk to me, so no wonder there is officially OiBM tag .... and fans look like skinheads

    there are some really catchy and fun tracks in this scene though
