I would have included the Suicide Commando, but did not get the news letter until the next day. I reserved a box set from my local shop. This box looks great!

Out Of Line is delivering the goods!!!!!!

Gin Devo is an excellent musician. The sound of the last VN's album is perfect and strong. That's true. But, sorry, I can't find any beauty in it. This is some good stuff for gothic festivals, with skulls and bones, not much. Nothing original in this way. No imagination. We are far from what Gin and Guy did in the early 90's, mixing melancholy, intensity, intelligence... It was simply beautiful.

  5. I've said it before & I'll say it again, Guy is the mastermind behind Vomito Negro (I'm curious about the new album though). I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks:)

Was listening to 'Wake Up' and 'Dare' earlier. These new tracks don't even come close to what was on just those two works, never mind the rest of this venerable band's ecclectic back catalogue.

The emphasis now appears to be the simple promotion of a mindless beat with some nice screamy vocals for this new "work". By contrast (sic), the earlier (and actual) Vomito Negro albums favored atmosphere and dynamics over simple, almost juvenile attention seeking tactics. You can tell those who are perpetuating this farce want to fit in more than anything, perhaps that's what so repugnant about all of it.

As I said, beauty is gone. This is not repugnant, this is a hard work. But I think it's a mistake.

With Pressure Control, Gin was in his own style. It was fresh and sensitive. I consider a track like "whip" is a classical track of Dark Electronic Music. Now Gin tries to imitate Guy's voice. It's effective, but empty...
