Sigsaly Transmissions is the album more upbeat than Slug? Give us more info. U plan to get this album with the NTRSN album. You've got a great artists roster.

The album drops in 3 weeks and no teasers yet...I just got my Porcon shirt, I'm so ready to rock out to this it's not even funny.

Last I read their blog, this album is more aggressive and song-oriented, is that true? Not that every song will sound like "Amnesia" (can't happen with these guys anyway) but that was a very good indicator of where this album was going...yes?

NTRSN is fucking EXCELLENT! One of the most exciting albums I've heard in a while - I LOVE the old-school sound!

CAN'T WAIT for the new Portion Control!! They have quickly become one of my all-time favorite bands. The last several releases have been nothing less than GENIUS!!

I'm a fan of PC since the "Hit The Pulse" mini-album. I finally managed to see them live 6 years ago supporting Skinny Puppy at the Forum, London. I travelled from Greece just to be there for their first gig after their 2003/04 re-activation. Everything these guys have done and continue to do is pure quality, always "One Step Forward". So there's no surprise that the "Violently Alive" album is again a winner; it's just Portion Control: hard rhythmic electronics trademarked.
    P.S.:i looove Mordant Music!

  11. RE: samples online.

OMFG! This stuff is f***in' brilliant.

I know they tend to resist being categorised as an EBM band, but the "Relapse" clip has to be one of the most pristine old-school EBM examples I've heard in ages. Gonna order this fer sure.

  12. Holy fuck, I don't care what 'school' of EBM this belongs to. This is fucking AWESOME. Seriously, this year is actually turning out to be a phenomenal year for industrial despite certain people's rampant pessimism.

  13. In my book, Portion Control is proto-EBM :)

Amazing stuff. I've already pre-ordered mine.

  15. Nice! Last time I went to the shop, preordering wasn't an option.

I'm getting the pack bundled with the CROP compilation, since everything on that one is awesome. It's like getting a ltd. 2CD edition.
    Order placed!

  17. Hmm, been listening to the samples more. There's some elements (vocally and production-wise) that bring Shining (Julian Beeston's EBM project from the early 90s) to mind. Still hanging out for the full album.

  19. "2010 will see the release of the long anticipated ‘early years’ material [1979-1983] this will be released by vinyl on demand ... it will include 6 discs, DVD, a comprehensive manual all housed in an etched metal box."

Because they don't get the "double-sided statement card"?
