     More of the latter, though i really like that "Black Hole" preset. I just like programming complex FX boxes and I think it'd be a good companion to my Kurzweil.

     some not so exciting purchases

     Yamaha - FC7 expression pedal
     Proco - You Dirty Rat
     Proco - Rat2 with older OP amp chip

     i gave my rat away to a younger guitarist friend of mine.

     im thinking the 2 different rats will work well together and i'll a synth through both of them simultaneously. each rat has different innards and together I should be able to achieve a wide variety of face melting tones

     The rat is awesome. I have the newer one and I love it.

     Not related to gear purchase but more gear selling, I had to sell my 2 moogs, the LP and the Voyager and let me tell you that really hurt deep inside.

     The voyager left a huge void on my setup. But that's ok, the situation will get better some day and I'll buy it again.

     Just last night I sold my Virus TI Desktop and turned around with the cash and bought a TI Snow. Gonna take some getting used to but now I feel comfortable bringing a synth with me to a show. Just in time too - I have a festival gig this weekend! Have to pound the knowledge into my head and make up some extra parts. Should be lots of fun!

     sold my Novation X-Station. he's on his way to Berlin

     just purchased a Studiologic VMK-176

     the X-Staion unfortunately was also my interface... i started a thread seeking advice for a replacement.. something barebones because i'm going to use my eventide's converters

     i never used the X-Station as a synth and 25 keys weren't enough once i moved into the world of polyphony, but it had great feeling keys and i loved the adjustable velocity curves and aftertouch and the XY pad

     excited to receive the Studiologic VMK though. hammer action will probably be better than synth action for me since i'm pretty heavy handed, and with 51 additional keys I'm sure this will be my master keyboard for quite a while

     i do wonder though... could the joystick send a certain cc for the x axis and a different cc for the y? wasn't able to do that on my novation, and if it were possible i couldn't figure it out
