It feels odd to see Dave McKean working on a white background. Maybe it will grow on me.

Also odd that the cover artist is ultimately announcing the new album release and title. Don't they have a record label working to publicize this?

I really don't know what to think about it.

I liked the artwork of Artificial Soldier very much, but this one I'm not sure yet.

Awful. That 'punch label' font is getting overused almost as much as 'morpheus' still is, the crooked FLA logo just looks silly, and the art styles don't flow together at all. Almost looks like someone just took two of McKean's signature style photos and then plopped in a bunch of random google-searched stock images to make some covers in about 10 minutes. I love McKean and I like FLA, but I can't get on the blind praise bus with these ones.

  6. i didn't see anything wrong with the album covers

e101 may be on to something.. so i guess we're lucky that FLA are musicians and not graphic designers, or something.

new FLA is just what the Dr. ordered. its the only known cure for those suffering from the wait for the new Object album

Guys, the most important news is A NEW FUCKING FLA!!!! I've been waiting for this shit for 4 years now, it's about time! Also new Delerium and Decree would be nice.
Also, Dave McKean is a god. As is Bill Leeb. Over now.

The album title "Improvised Electronic Device" reminds me of "Tactical Neural Implant" will we call this album I.E.D. like we say T.N.I.

Al Jourgensen Collaborates with Front Line Assembly

Recently, Front Line Assembly invited Ministry’s Al Jourgensen to collaborate on the track “Stupidity” from the new FLA release entitled “Improvised Electronic Device,” scheduled for release on Metropolis Records this Spring 2010. In addition to penning lyrics and vocals, Jourgensen also arranged and mixed the track at his 13th Planet Studios in El Paso, TX. Spearheading the collaboration is FLA’s Jeremy Inkel, who also performs with Left Spine Down, the opening act on Jourgensen’s side project RevCo’s 2009 North American Tour.

Jourgensen and FLA have dedicated "Stupidity" to the loving memory of WaxTrax! CEOs Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher. May the WaxTrax! Legacy Live Forever.
