  3. Oh, freakin' NICE, finally! I like Dryft almost as much as I do Gridlock, and those samples are sounding tear-jerkingly beautiful.
    GETTING FUCKING GOT FO SHIZZLE.

Thank you very much for the link Demog. You've made me a happy man on an otherwise miserable and drab day. Well, that and chocolate ice-cream, but mostly that :)

This is good news... not as good as if a new Gridlock was announced, but good nonetheless!

  6. It's kind of a shame that everyone is inevitably gonna compare it to Gridlock. Still, from what I'm hearing, it holds its own very favourably :)

  7. who's mastering it?

    Posted 1 year ago #
  8. I thought Mike Wells still did most of the mastering for N5MD?

  9. indeed. i'm curious if he is the one doing it

  10. awesome news.

i've always thought dryft was in the same vein as gridlock but different and definitely it's own thing

I will check it, what is your opinion on Mnemonic. Sorry for the OT, I've listened to the post Alfa Matrix stuff and I think I am going to grab both Cds. (Tha Alfa Matrix releases where also brilliant but more EBM/Electro oriented).

  14. mnemonic is good but i have a niggle about his stuff. he likes to overtly use the sample CDs from haujobb's matrix and ninetynine.

having said that, i own his monokultur, denkmodell, and his 2004 CD [which happens to have an awesome haujobb remix on the limited edition]

I usually like Mnemonic but Denkmodell failed to catch my attention it was too...cold. I couldn't find the soul in the music.

  16. I have Monokultur and Denkmodell. Both are good, Monokultur is more interesting imo. Denkmodell is fairly minimal, every song sounds really similiar and its a lot of piano, pads and minimal idm beatwork. It's not bad, but not really what I was expecting. I also have the one guys side project, The Last Gambit, which is pretty good, although similar to what they were doing on Denkmodell...beautiful melodies with kind of minimal beats...however pretty similar to all the other "idm netlabel" stuff, like atmogat, dnn, huron, pleq, adamned.age, amorph, etc etc. If you like that sort of thing then both are absolutely worth getting.
