I am waiting for the sound snippets, I need to listen before buying them. Has anyone heard something about these two albums?

For real? I found that Cabaret was surprisingly good.

Das Ich I'm being careful with, could be good or bad, but boy do they need a change of image...

As for PP I havdn't bought anything from them since Eon:Eon, finally I decided to buy Dream Tiresias and fell asleep half way throuh the second song... so I'm not going to investigate any further.

I am also waiting for PP to release some sound snippets. It doesn't matter to me if I listen to them before I buy the album, I am just anxious to hear what the new album sounds like.

I agree, Das Ich need to change their image but I think they are pretty original as they follow their own path. I also agree with PP, for me the last releases lack something.

Yes, they are goff all the way, but you'll have to admit, they're quite unique in sound and image.

I do not like all of their releases, but I still listen to Lava and Morgue on a regular basis.

  9. The Pitchfork could go either way. The last album wasnt bad at all but compared to other PP albums and overall music, its been forgotten and sits on my shelf unplayed :/

You people are nuts. "Dream, Tiresias" is the best thing PP has put out since "Daimonion," hands down.

    Nuts!

Both I don´t like very much....but ok, I got the new PP as a promo and so, since I more or less liked this in the early 90s I listed to this and lost interest after the first some minutes. It´s just something that don´t touch me (anymore?).

You should check out Daimonion and Kaskade. They're the two best Project Pitchfork albums IMO. While I like Dream, Tiresias!, I don't like it as much as those albums. It's sort of a return to their roots, but it's not consistently good throughout IMO.

Well from the short snippets, it seems to have more variation than Dream Tiresias; however i suspect a few of the tracks may be weaker ones that didn't make it onto DT. Hard to tell from 30 seconds, but i'll probably stil buy it.

30 second snippets from Project Pitchfork verses are not massively informative.

Has anyone seen Pitchfork on this tour yet? I'm seeing them in Philadelphia tonight. I'm just curious if the setlist is mostly old or mostly newer songs...I'm sure newer stuff.

When i saw them earlier this year, it was mainly older stuff, only 1 track off Dream Tiresias, nothing from Kaskade. As many tracks from Alpha Omega as anything else. A fantastic setlist, and i presume it will be the basis for this US tour as well, although maybe they'll preview something from the forthcoming album as well.

    @ Negative

Pitchfork did a great show in Philadelphia Wednesday night. I didn't know (because I don't read band websites or anything), but Dirk had emergency hernia surgery 2 weeks before the U.S. tour, and is not on the tour. So, only Peter, Jan and the live drummer. The setlist was great...much better than the September 2009 U.S. tour. I don't remember all songs, but here goes: Carrion, KNKA, Carnival, Timekiller, Steel Rose, En Garde, I Live Your Dream, Requiem, Hunted, and I think Feel. They played more songs, but I can't remember any more. They also played 1-2 brand new songs off the upcoming album. Great show, highly recommended. Met Peter after the show, very friendly guy.
