I wondering which of you 2 do you guys prefer. I personally prefer Myspace mainly because of all the music I can find on there and the news update for it. On top of that you can customize your myspace layout which I think can represent someone's personality more. I know Facebook is liked by more people nowadays. Hell the answer I think I will get from most of you on here is neither :)

Myspace or facebook?

Facebook....it just seems less whorish to me.

neither
i tried myspace when it was all the craze and my girlfriend at the time "helped" me set up a page.
i used it even after we split to stay in contact with a few friends. it was easy to know what was going down and when. so everyone of our friends knew when and where the party was. it was useful for staying in contact with distant friends too.
then ex-girlfriends started finding me and i realized how much i treasured my anonymity

i also hated how on myspace all the retarded bulletins or whatever they were called... i hated how they pushed out the bulletins (from bands) i was actually interested in seeing.
so i sent out a bulletin of my own, letting all of my "friends" know that I'd delete them if they continued with their retarded shit. my future mother in-law was the first to get the axe and shortly after that i washed my hands entirely of myspace and its ilk.
i have sense been going around the internet to places that may have any factual information about me and cleaning it up as best possible.

Oh my my vindictive ex gf's desperately seeking Josh. You can't blame them...you left them heartbroken & they need closure:)You're a fun dude to hang out with & I hope we'll meet in the future.

Depends what you want to do.
For music, Myspace is the way to go....
For actual interaction with people, Facebook is better.
Myspace is more of a place to put up naked photos of yourself and join as many band pages as you can and just basically whore yourself out.
*another post because I can't edit my last one*

I prefer reading a book.
Going for a jog, talking to people in a social setting, and/or masturbation also work.

actually none of them were vindictive. and all but 1 broke up with me.. the 1 wasn't actually a girlfriend.. just someone that I ashamedly lead on for sex
and dude. we are totally going to hang out. my traveling of late has been severely restricted since I've had a lot of projects sucking up current disposable funds... that and I've been spending too much on recreational green flowers
first little get away this year will be April 2nd - 5th in New Orleans. taking my fiancee to the VNV Nation show there and going to go completely Hunter S. Thompson (minus the literary skill) downtown Nola.
seriously. if any side-liner is going to find themselves in the Big Easy (and doesn't think i'm the complete douchetard that i occasionally present myself as on here) should hit me up I'll let you know all the cool places to eat and get pissed and possibly join in the debauchery if time permits.

If most of you that replied hate myspace how do you find out about new music now?

@Sewn
I go to Infrarot and click on "new releases"
I go to MusicNonStop and click on "new releases"Posted 1 year ago # -
As far as I can tell, music is still dead on Facebook.

When it comes to keeping up with bands, I prefer REAL FUCKING WEBSITES (that are properly updated and aren't a cluttered mess like VAC's). I don't care if a band also has a Myspace page, but I hate it beyond words when ALL they have is Myspace or worse yet, when their band page auto-redirects to their Myspace page.
To this day I cannot think of a single example where I discovered new music because of Myspace. I hear about music via band websites, label sites, forums, through the grapevine, etc. In fact the less time I need to spend on Myspace, the better. 9 out of 10 bands all have the worst shitty themes possible, too many photo & video widgets that lag everything, and mile long comments sections that are nothing but other bands trying to whore themselves.
Facebook, on the other hand, is much sleeker, quicker and more user friendly. It's still not as ideal as it could be, but I'll take it any day of the week over Myspace.

Mybook or Facespace

Just stop comparing the two, they're apples and oranges

@sewn- in general, new music is fucking terrible. So I actually wait until someone finds it fit to rant about it on here or on Metro. I cannot recall the last time a new releases page caught my eye. So I do not bother searching for new music. It tends to find you if you just hang out and pay attention.

Facebook is the actual worst thing to happen to the Internet. seriously, I'd rather watch 2 Girls 1 Cup than get an account on there again.

Soundcloud, why should we be limited to the popular vote?
It is by far the final word in streaming media.
Sure, you wont get as many random hits as you do on myspace..
but you can allow people who are actually interested
in your work hear material in the best possible quality.Posted 1 year ago # -
Yeah, I love Soundcloud too.
I am seriously getting a case of deja-vu here. Didn't we just talk about this shit last month?

Contemplates doing the obvious "Rupert Murdoch bought Myspazz so you might as well watch Fox News"-thing.
Realises kids today know fuck all (and care about even less).
Goes back to that special thing they call "Real Life".
Hey - remember when industrial fans were political?
It all seems so long ago now........
