Currently i am working on the next tPROE album called "Machine district". I have about 20 songs ready, of which about 10 to 12 will make it to the album. And maybe some download EP's and such. I am also working on an album of "The Peoples Republic of Europe Electronic Ensemble" in which i terrorize the easy listening genre and bring homage to the Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble, know for being the leading band in North Korea's authentic multilayered complex dark electro:

  15. @I`m Not The One: Do I remember it right that you tried out Leaether Strip ("Civil Disobedience" - 3CD and "AEngelmaker" - 3CD) as well for the very first time last year?

If yes, I am glad to see that you give X Marks The Pedwalk and Suicide Commando a chance as well. :-)

    LEAETHER STRIP COMPOSES FILM SCORE

Combining all his skills and styles, Claus Larsen (LEAETHER STRIP) creates some of his most incredible, dark and moving music for the film “DARK PASSAGES.” Claus took Cesar’s script and created over 60 minutes worth of original music that will shake it’s listeners to the core. Fans of LEAETHER STRIP and films scores alike will be drawn to the incredible music. The “DARK PASSAGES” soundtrack is planned to be released as a 2-Disc Album from ALFA MATRIX RECORDS.

"After I read the script for "Dark passages," my head was simply filled with ideas. It was such a strong feeling for me that I dropped everything else I had going, to get started on the Soundtrack. It has been a dream of mine for many years to actually write the score to a movie like this. Ever since I bought Carpenters historic soundtrack album for his "Halloween" movie, I wanted to give people the same deadly chill that Carpenters very simple way of writing gave me and still does.

On this soundtrack I also wanted to let some words come through in the songs, so half the album is what you can call Leæther Strip songs, but the lyrics have topics actually inspired by the script and not just random songs I had done earlier.

The other half Is instrumental but still fully Electronic and true to my other works. But don’t expect the usual music that needs the pictures to come to live. Since I didn’t have any pictures to write the music to, I created my own pictures with the music. I haven’t heard about a soundtrack written for a movie before the first scene was even shot, and I think that’s a very positive thing, because I got to create my own sound scapes and pictures in my head, and I think all soundtrack composers would like to have that amount of freedom to create their Own little movie with sound. I'm really grateful that I finally got a chance to do this, and I hope that maybe this will open other moviemakers eyes to my work.

Cesar Cruz is a huge talent and friend, I just know he's got some big things ahead of him, and I can't wait until the day "Dark passages" will flicker in front of my eyes in its final form. I will be as proud and happy as I was the day I got my first record deal. That’s how big this thing is for me. I know this movie will scare me out of my head when it’s done. And don’t we all love that feeling.
