  2. it isn't so little.. takes up a lot of rack space

as for a tip. the modulation matrix is the real magic happens. there are so many options for sound design, many of which are geared towards the use of a keyboard which gives many amazing possibilities for expressive playing, beyond that of the rich, amazing sounds you can create.

just because a wavetable can have 67 different wavs doesn't mean you should use all of them. use the patch that is described on carbon111 to make a patch that sweeps through all the wavs of a table to give you an idea of that table. the interpolation between wavs is really magical, so slow transitions and not too many different waves can yield better results than using a ton of different waves within a table

i think the power of this synth lies in the uniqueness of sound, very powerful modulation and programming options, and tons of hands on control which i find absolutely essential for painless experimentation. when programming i don't mind a menu.. i usually have something in mind, but when playing and tweaking all those knobs are a godsend.. and don't forget it can be used to control other midi gear

  3. I'm taking it with me on my ten days german PY tour. Normally I don't take any gear with me because I end up not doing anything with it, but with this one I KNOW I'm gonna use the hours before and after soundchecks to try stuff ha ha...
