Has anyone seen this film??
I think it's one of the creepiest vampire movies.
Electro, gothic, noise, darkwave from the Side-Line

I wish I'd seen it when it was in the cinemas, everyone kept recommending it, it seems immensely popular. As in "the only good vampire movie ever made", meant very seriously.
Watch it on a really cold night, hopefully snowy. In the dark :)
It was fantastic and I can't believe they feel the need to make an english remake.
If anyone has Netflix it should still be available for streaming.

Tonight would be perfect then :\
this movie is beautiful. very european, in a good way. cold, bleak. but behind that surface very moving.
gonna get it from net flix soon
One of the best vampire movies I've ever seen. I guarantee any "remake" will be garbage compared to this masterpiece.
Agreed. It was a very good film.
Nosferatu is still my favourite though.

they are doing the remake in the desert of New Mexico...
that right there just ruins half the feel for the movie
remakes really suck
i was a tiny bit underwelmed by this based on the hype, but it could still easily be the best vampire film ever simply because its pretty good.
@snarf
Mexican vampire film? that sounds awesome. except "From Dusk Till Dawn" which was cool until it became a vampire film.
It totally ruins the mood of the original. Unless they are going for a totally different feel, but then why even call it a remake :(
Desert of New Mexico?
Sounds to me like http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120877/
really good flick.
yeah i caught it a couple of weeks ago and i really liked it. someone doing a good vampire flick deserves plenty credit. could have done without the rabid cat scene though.
I had never heard of it and got it on a whim. Very very good movie...nice creepy atmosphere. The blood on the snow made a nice contrast.
I really liked this for the fact that it really abandoned a lot of overused vampire themes. The fact that the whole thing was filmed either at night or really dim, grey winter days really added to the atmosphere.
The movie was very much about the tragedy and isolation of the vampire as opposed to the blood, gore and ass kickery that most vampire movies focus on.
I am not one for remakes either, but I have to defend the choice of filming in New Mexico. There is no better place than New Mexico or Nevada to really shoot in isolated locations and get that stark apocalyptic feeling easily. There are many small towns that could serve as a duplicate of Stockholm, and the director said he wants to maintain the original time period and storyline.
Unfortunately for snarf the director also did Cloverfield..heh

Apparently you've never been to Detroit :)
