    Mine came today, anyone else got one of these crazy little things?

    I'll be posting some free Monotron samples on my website in the next few weeks when the sites live.

    I honestly do not really understand the hype this thing gets...it is a simple analogue circuit with a bit of a fancy look....Casio sells such things for years to children..

  4. when i last lost power... i was fucking bored... good thing i had a stylophone

    its only 50 dollars... its one of the coolest toys i think. i'll probably pick one up eventually.. just to have something to occupy myself when i know i'm going to not have much of a choice for things to do

    well this makes sense....one buys a thing because it costs nothing?

    maybe I should start to sell white noise generators for 50$....

  6. you couldn't produce a white noise generator that was useful for $50.

    Korg could though.

    It's got the same filter as the Ms-20 and you can run audio through it so why would you not want one. This one is pretty much a given.

    I was going to buy one of those Jap kit ones with the book. The Korg was the same price and no putting a few plastic parts together and it was Korg. I’ve been messing around on and off all day with it… there is just something strange that draws you to it for 10 – 15 mins every few hours. You certainly get a better range of sounds out of it than a stylophone but for 4 times the cost you should! Been sampling some of the sounds and the only thing I’ve noticed is that the output is a little noisy (maybe I’m just use to digital) so you have to be careful with gain and input levels.

    @electromancer: it doesn't
    it's built completely different (different electronics) than the one in MS20 therefore it's not the same.

    @amiles

    people complain about the high noise from the outputs. so it's not just you.

    a $60 cure for all the people jonesing for a "real" analog synth, pocket sized, what's not to like?
    my only issue is i'd want to run it thru a bunch of pedals & battery powered stuff tends to hum due to grounding issues. anybody run one thru guitar fx boxes/pedals?

    I got mine last weekend. This thing is dirtier and wider than my Moog Lil Phatty. I am buying a 2nd one soon to just dedicate as a filter, while my original one is gonna be used to generate sound/ noise.

    This little fucker is a BEAST!

    Can anyone tell me if it's already available in the USA ?. I'm asking it because I think that when it happens, it may become easier to be available in South America.

    Or did you guys bought it from other parts of the world, like Japan or Australia ?.

    This will be my next purchase, hopefully.

  17. I'm loving the new influx of tabletop analogs.

    May get one to go with my mopho. I've spent more money than this thing costs on fucking Tequila before.

  18. Just got mine... The filter is a dirty killer for making noise and thrashing stuff in a very playful way, try using it on some old speech, it's so INDUSTRIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL ha ha... Can be used too for raw drone pshhhhhhh modulations, so cool ! I think I'll get another one to have a dual stereo filter ha ha... I'll try it asap on my frippertronic loops to see what I get...

  19. Just got mine as well. Really sick! I messed with it right out of the box for 10 minutes and dropped it all on SoundCloud just now. I ran it through the Noise Swash a bit just to see what it would do. The frequency modulations are intense.
