    in a way: yes, it sounds dated, but thats not a bad thing. many of that dated things that still are around have a good quality.

    Exactly. I love when people say, "I can't believe you listen to that old shit" and then try to convince me of the lyrical genius of say 'Boom Boom Boom' or 'Skullfuck'.

    Kraftwerk does sound dated to me, but that might be just their attitude that puts me off- they sort of come off as too polite and formal, whereas Front 242 and other bands from that wave have a more visceral approach to similar music.
