How do I add an avatar?

    We work with Gravatar ( www.gravatar.com ) in order to have avatars on the forum. Register at Gravatar, create the avatar there and automatically that avatar will pop up on here.

    Users that already have a Gravatar account will have noticed that their avatar already appears.

    Gravatar would make it easier if more boards used it. So far only Sideline uses it in my bookmark list and it feels a bit like a lot to go through just to get an avvy.

    It Took Me Less Than 15 Minutes To Register And Create An Avatar .... I Hope To See An Active Forum Filled With Various Opinions Within The Various Alternative Scenes Which Side-Line Covers :-)

    I've heard it takes around 30 mins or so for it to work here ...

    Hmmm...I originally set one up days ago and it still has not appeared. Tried uploading another image about 10 mins ago. I made sure to set it on the G rating as one of the possible reasons for it not appearing according to their site is an avatar having a higher rating.

    Is there a step I'm missing? I registered,uploaded a pic,set it as my primary and used the same email for both side-line and gravitar.

    Someone on Wordpress has already taken my username, so I can't get a Gravatar account with that name. How do I upload my avatar directly to the forum?

    Personally I think this is a horrible setup because if your username is already taken on either Gravatar (which mine is) or a specific forum you're screwed.

    I really hope more websites don't start using it.

    It's a nice idea, but it simply means that I can't have the username that I want, or even my real name. Therefore I shall remain avatar-less!

    Oh wait, I have a crazy pink monster. All is not lost!! lol
