Clips can be heard here, as well as 2 longer ones on their Myspace.

Now, you can't really hear the choruses of any of these clipss, but honestly after a couple listens, I think I might be finally done with these guys. Aside from a couple tracks that sound slightly different (like the first one which I do like alot), it's almost as if they just changed the keys on all the tracks of their last album. Everything sounds exactly the same. Oooo the token slow track is a bit slower. Oooo there are TWO swing-beat tracks instead of just one. I seriously don't know if I'm gonna get this one...the choruses better be fan-fucking-tastic but from what I've heard so far, including the "Dog Eat Dog" single, it looks like Rasco needs to take a break along with Rudy for a while. I didn't like all of Rabia Sorda, but at least Erk tried some different things with it. "New German-influenced sound" my ass.

    Shots for all !

lol I was done with this band after "Signos De Aberracion" everything since this album has bored me to death, they haven't offered anything new on any of their albums.

"Odio Bajo El Alma" is their best.

I still liked Wrack and Ruin, after that I didn't hate it, but it surely isn't a band that's high on my priority as it used to be.

  5. Lol... You gotta be kidding me. Pretty much every single track these guys make is sicker than shit... Cenobita and Proyecto Crisis is some good stuff as well.

  6. doesn't sound too bad.

it doesn't try to push boundaries or leave 2005, but for what it is...

They are using the same sounds from their last album. Bite Me! sounds different, more like their older material.

Hocico needs to do something really different. Maybe sing in backwards Spanish or use live instruments. A mariachi band would be interesting.

I've been like that about every single album they've released after Sangre Hirviente (which is my favourite Hocico album too); On the first listens, I think "this album is just yet another album with mediocre run of the mill songs", and then I give up, let it lie for a while, and when I check back some months later (or in some cases, a year later) with crap expectations, I start to like it...

Won't judge them from the clip, but Dog Eat Dog isn't exactly an unforgettable tune (so far)...

I like it. Sounds very good, and its funky as hell. Sangre hitviente has a few good tracks, but has a lot of boring moments and a pretty bad production. This new one sounds as promising as the Memorias Atras album, and that one is my favorite Hocico album. This one might end up as a favorite as well.
And who gives a damn that it isn't original. I also like The Ramones. Will defo get this one when it's out.

I was waiting for a word on this release. As a long standing fan since the very early days I’ve become more and more bored with their output. Listened to Dog Eat Dog and decided it was not good enough to buy and if the rest of the album is the same then I just be disappointed.

I think they need to bring in a new element into their sound, maybe a live drummer, new “real” synth, and a bit more experimentation with sounds and tempos.

I thought Wracked and Ruined was one of their best albums.

It doesn't have to be original to be pleasing I agree 100%, but I just find the whole thing forced now. I just can't feel the rage anymore.

Hocico is right up there with bands like Combichrist. They found a formula that turns the fans into good little sheep and blindly buy whatever crap they release. Hocico knows they haven't done anything new or original in the last 6 albums but why should they, people still buy this crap, rave about how awesome it is for 3 weeks before the next big oontz album comes out.

I love that on this forum people cut up stuff like Brittany Spears for being mindless and unoriginal but then we go nutty over "Signos De Aberracion" 9th edition and "Bunkergate 7" 12th edition now with shiny barcode.

You got a shiny barcode ???? and I didn't !!! OMG Rudy is going to hear about me...

I still disagree on Combichrist though, maybe it's just me but I find he made some changes in his style in each album. Big enough to keep it interesting but not too big so he loses his identity.
