I really have to give props to Torben and Infacted for re-issuing such classic Zoth Ommog acts as Eco (yeah, I know they were on Off Beat but they sounded like a Zoth Ommog band), U-Tek and of course X-Marks. These are great bands with music that played an integral part in the shaping of electro-industrial today and deserve recognition by modern fans. It is great that their catalog is being made available once again to a new generation.

Another act I would love to see getting the re-issue treatment is ZERO DEFECTS. The songs 'Duracell', 'Clone Breeder', 'Steam Engine' and 'Firefly' just to name a few are all great EBM classics that can stand on their own amidst any set of modern EBM. I would hate for their contribution to be forgotten and fade into musical obscurity. I'm sure I'm not the only one on the forums who feels this way.

Who else would like to see an Infacted Zero Defects re-issue?

ADDITIONAL: While I'm on the subject of rescuing Zero Defects from obscurity does anyone out there have any photos of band members Sascha Kurz and Thorsten Marx? I would like to add their headshots to their band profiles on Discogs and Last.fm. I have searched all of teh internets and cannot find a single photo of them anywhere. They are more elusive than the manbearpig!

I would really like the Blok 57 idea. But only if there is a possibility of some unreleased/new mixes.

That's great news! Zero Defects, Armageddon Dildos, Blok 57 would all be great to have in circulation again. Best of luck making this happen!

    About my other question Side-Liners:
Does anyone out there have any photos of band members Sascha Kurz and Thorsten Marx from Zero Defects? My OCD is killing me here! I searched to the ends of teh internets and can't find pictures of the duo anywhere. Surely someone out there must have an old issue of Side-Line or concert pics or something of them?

  10. Gabi,

Hungry dinosaurs are roaming around Torben's house. He's doing his best to fend them off:)

    @ Tyrant
I looked through all my old Zoth promo stuff last night, hoping to be able to find pictures of Zero Defects for you, but I didn't find any. Sorry! Another Z.D. rarity though for you is the t-shirt, made for Thoughtographic around 1994!

If anyone is looking to add a real rarity to their Zero Defects collection, there is an original demo tape available for sale right now on discogs:

No worries mate. Thanks for trying at least. I was told there was a picture of the duo on the inside gatefold of the vinyl version of 'Komma' but I don't have it so I dunno. Doesn't appear to be on the version on Discogs but that could just be a lazy uploader.

I also seem to recall there being an interview with them in Side-Line mag ages (decades?) ago. I don't recall the issue number though. Any chance one of youse has it?
