    @ EAR

Forgive my ignorance here, but can I ask what exactly EAR has ever released as a label yet? I've seen dozens of posts on this forum since last year promoting multiple bands & releases all "coming soon", but for the life of me I can't seem to find any of your CD's anywhere or even a website showcasing your catalog. All I've been able to dig up so far is a personal MySpace page and and some link to Vendetta... which confuses me since I thought you were associated with COP?

After all this time, I'd like to see what your label has done so any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  7. I forgive your ignorance:) EAR has released 4 cd's so far:

Last Influence of Brain "Inner Wars" (EAR/Vendetta Music)
    KIFOTH "Äcerbity Torrent" (EAR/Vendetta Music)
Brain Leisure "Methods To Madness" DCD (EAR/Vendetta Music)
    Obkect "The Ethane Asylum"

EAR has parted ways with Vendetta Music under amicable terms & partnered with Cop International. The upcoming EAR releases starting with the highly-anticipated V/A "Old School Electrology Vol.I" 4-cd box-set will be pressed in Europe &distributed through Alive AG.

    Cheers

  11. Feel free to check out my first "compilation"(I'd call it XXXXXXL EP) Grandchaos "In Sedens" EP DCD (2005) released under the moniker Deathkon Media. "In Sedens" DCD was a prelude to V/A "Old School Electrology Volume I" 4-cd box-set.

This thread got me thinking! Cydonia were another name around in the late nineties that showed a lot of potential, released a S/T CD on Tinman (TIN 005)and then promptly disappeared....phoot!

I've just dug it out to play now as it's not had an airing in years! Gritty sounding EBM that put me in mind of a stripped back Index or Noise Box.

  16. I had all the Pygmy Children releases but finally sold em off. They just sounded too much like a watered down FLA. :/

Speaking of Amgod, the new site www.amgod.info has an updated about a new compilation called 'Help Can't Wait'. I don't know the track listing, but the album is supposed to be a benefit for flood victims in the Calcutta area. http://www.myspace.com/ourhelpcantwait. There will be an exclusive Amgod track. I wonder what other bands are on this?

Anyway, it's cool that all the artists are donating their time and efforts for a cause like this. Here's a summary from the MySpace.

    What is "Help Cant Wait"???

By the end of May 2008 a dam break flooded an area of more than 20 kilometers wide. This area, situated 100 km in the north of Calcutta, had to deal with an increased water level of several meters for a quite long time. People desperately tried to save their animals and goods on some of the very few hills there. Although the border countries provided a great aid program, most people lost everything they owned and now have to face a life without anything.

Sekh Jamil founded “Happy Life“ – an organization that tries to help people in hardship by providing financial support for medical surgeries, visits to the doctor, spreading food to the people and much more. But before distributing any support, this organization proves the neediness of people and often includes their neighbours in the aid program. (source: www.heinz-reiter.org)

Black Rain Media Group GmbH and Elektrofront Erzgebirge are personally involved in the thought behind “Happy Life” and therefor want to support the construction of a medical and educational center as well as to improve self-confidence and independence of the rural youth. Because of this we want to release a sampler called „Help can’t wait“. Electronic music means everything to us – and because of this the complete profit from this project will be donated to “Happy Life” – we do not have any financial interest for ourselves!
