I'm not sure by the thread title if you mean "anything scene-related" or something more specific, but these debuts were amongst my favourite releases of 2010:

Dead When I Found Her - Harms Way
Blume - Rise From Grey (darkwave/synthpop)
    Aimonia - Pulling The Trigger

As for this year, top debut so far is:
    Dreissk - The Finding (ambient/IDM/post-shoegaze)

  4. Dead When I Found Her - Harm's Way
Empty - Surfacing (I think it was their first full-length album)
    Bersarin Quartett - Bersarin Quartett
Candle Nine - The Muse In The Machine

@Sheva- I mean specifically industrial debuts, not independent electronic music in general. If I was into synthpop or IDM or whatever else is "scene-related" these days, I probably wouldn't find there to be such a shortage of worthwhile debuts.

As for what I mean by "debut album," I'm not entirely sure. I really liked the 2010 Sewer Goddess CD, which is something like the fifth Sewer Goddess release, but might be the first one to qualify as a proper full-length album. Eh, I guess it counts.

(Edit: And I wasn't counting "debut albums" from side projects of artists who are already well-established- so no Ke/Hil or Ok-Ztein-Ok)

They're not really my thing, but Detroit Diesel's debut album was released in 2010.

Gatekeeper are ace but Giza wasn't their debut, Optimus Maximus was.

Funny but a lot of my choices for 2010 debuts that are pretty solid are actually EP'S

I agree with Sheva about Dead When I found Her's "Harm's Way" and also Aimonia's "Pulling the Trigger" (who btw almost stole the entire WTII Records Minifest with their live set--If it wasn't for Stromkern, Christ Analogue and Die Warzau just destroying they would have been the show to see, made everyone in attendance jaws drop)

Also I really liked The Ludovico Technique's S/T ep, Deconbrio's "The Vanishing" EP, Short to Ground's "S/T" ep (they have released a new remix ep as well that has remixes by Rotersand and Bounte) and Also Am.Psych's debut EP "Side-Effects" is great if you enjoy the "coldwave" side of things
