Hello all,
it has been a while since our last newsletter. We have been in some kind of 'pause mode' in the past 3 years, not being able to work a lot for genetic due to other things in life we had to focus on. But this year is our 10th anniversary (aahh! ;) and we thought this is a good opportunity to start again! To be precise we actually turn 11 years old this year, considering the fact that the idea of starting our own record label was born in 1998 and we started working on the first release in July 1998. But GEN001 did not see the light of day before 1999, so going from there we officially turned 10 years old on May 20th 2009. We would like to sincerely thank all of you, along with everyone who's followed and supported genetic by buying records, playing the music, coming to shows and sending us your comments, criticisms and so many kind words along the way. Ok now, we are not so big on celebrations (especially self-referential ones), so let's see what's coming up next. As we roll into year eleven, we have a bunch of releases projected for this fall/winter that are keeping us busy and very excited! We will be updating the web site with complete information about these releases in the next couple of weeks, so please check in again to find out more. We might also send short updates by email some time soon.
